Hacking NSMBW Mod ISO Builder v1.00

Hi from Germany,

i have some Problems with Iso Builder 1.06 and 1.07. I use the German ISO or WBFS (PAL Version SMNP01) from NSMBW and get at Level 1-2 Yoshi Woods sometimes Black Screens on my Wii.

I use USB Loader GX Version 3.0 r1281

Another Problem, i can´t use custom Banners from Forums here.

I always get 0 byte File and wget 404 Error if i try to use e.g. SMNP03.bnr

Anyone can help me ?

Level 1-2 Yoshi Woods?Do you mean Newer Super Mario Bros. Wii?
I never got any problem when i play Newer Super Mario Bros. Wii through USB Loader GX or WODE Jukebox on wii,i use USAv2 clean rom of NSMBW as base iso.

I use USB Loader GX Version 3.0 r1281

Because the banner download link:"http://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/101209384/" no longer exist,you have to download your desired custom banner and put it into banners folder.

yes i mean Newer Super Mario Bros Wii.

:Edit: Because of the Black Screens i try now to change to IOS 250 within USB Loader GX3 and test it. (Standard is IOS 249).

:Edit2: With Wiiflow Lite i get the Screen "An error has ocurred, press the eject button..." instead the Black Screen

0byte=the download link is invalid,you have to create or download custom banner through google search.

:Edit: Because of the Black Screens i try now to change to IOS 250 within USB Loader GX3 and test it. (Standard is IOS 249).

Try to use"full format"(before you format your USB HDD,you have to backup all data) your USB HDD and run the game again.

Is it because of the European (German) Version of the dumped ISO or WBFS ?!?

Using guiformat(Allocation unit size:32768) to full format(do not use quick format) your USB HDD.
run this command in NSMBW_Mod_ISO_Builder:support\wit dump "filename.iso"(filename=your base iso filename) and post the result here.

Your base iso is well dump.
Where do you download the 1.07 version of NSMBW Mod ISO Builder?
Where do you download Newer_W_1.30.zip?
Do you get same black screen on dolphin emulator?

Do you have another USB device(HDD or stick)?
Use cmd to run chkdsk "your drive letter:" /F /R

It´s a WD2500BEVT, i think it goes in Standby Mode during the Black Screen Issue.

Chkdsk has no issues.

I have 2 other USB Sticks but both not working on the Wii. 1 USB Stick NoName 2GB (FAT32), 1 USB Stick Sandisk Ultra 64GB (FAT32) -> USB Loader GX loads but USB Loader GX Screen is empty.

Try to use WDIdleDisable Tool to disable sleep mode.

I'm having a terrible time getting Newer Super Mario Bros. Wii to actually work on my Wii.

I'm giving NSMBW Mod ISO Builder 1.07 the 1.30 version of the rom hack from the official site and tried both the NSMBW's WBFS file my Wii uses, and the ISO as the base, and it doesn't work. It gets to the screen telling me to hold the controller sideways and to press 2, then it freezes my Wii. Any help?

Whether I used the ISO as base or the WBFS as base, the output was identical (matching checksums) so I'm not sure what else I should be doing to get this to work.

Please see my steps below.

No. I tried on Dolphin, but on my vWii i wanted something simple and direct like a ISO mod, to launch with USBloaderGX.

Sadly v1.30 was not working when i tried to "inject" it on to the ISO (using the v1.07 version of ISO builder) so i follow that guide.

Try to run NSMBW v1.30 through riivolution app on your WiiU and report the test result here.

I want to check why you can't run v1.30 on vwii.

But i never actually tried on the vWii.

My issues were on creating and "modded" ISO using the available scripts, because i did no wanted to go the Riivolution way (this game is going to be played also by person who does not know hot to use riivolution).

Someone figured out a way to use the v1.06 script with the v1.30 update of the mod and i just compiled all the necessary "parts" to do it and uploaded it to be easier to anyone with the same issue.
