It's strange that there is no email from Nintendo explaining what it does. Or is there?3.4 Disclaimer :
QUOTEWe may without notifying you, download updates, patches, upgrades and similar software to your Wii Console and may disable unauthorized or illegal software placed on your Wii Console to ensure that your Wii Console is operating properly and efficiently, comply with applicable laws, assist law enforcement, protect us and our customers, or prevent the use and distribution of software obtained through improper channels.
So no more needs for us to notify anything anytime... At least for those who assumed 3.4 upgrade.

For the others, you vilains pir8, just... keep on laughing loud

So far nothing is up on the wiimpersonator site so until something new DOES show up, it's all a load of BS used as an attempt to get a rise out of people. We all know how apeshit this place goes when there's a tiny word of an update so every little peon with even the slightest inkling to create trouble is gonna pull shit to get the whole place up in (yet another) panic.

I repeat, there is no PROOF of a new update and I HIGHLY doubt even Nintendo would be able to get enough stuff for an update barely a week after the last one.

Or in simplistic terms: Proof or it didn't happen.

Actually, that is false as well. The wiimpersonator script, as far as I can tell, runs at regular intervals whether updates are available or not. Reason being is simple: It does the same thing as if you check for updates yourself. It just does a more thorough check at almost hourly intervals. The runlog and lastupdate files will be of course updated at every check. The fact that it says nothing was added, removed, or changed means there is NO update. If there WAS an update, it would be listed in the reports subfolder with what changes were made as usual.

Move along.

May be just another attempt to get more people to update their wii, those who missed previous alert. BigN being sure convinced 3.4 would mess up things... poor them.

With TH Beta2 out, who cares anyway about 3.4 ?

Reason being there is no way for it to get notices FROM Nintendo like a Wii when an update is available so it checks manually. Yeah, you're right. I realized that right after I posted the message, but figured that I would leave it up to just make sure that someone could confirm that as being the case.
