Yep that's the version I was using - 20130408.zip

I'll try booting Resident Evil 2 tomorrow and see if it comes up and if it does, then we know it depends on the size, if not then I dunno why people were getting that message, unless he took out the message in the latest version or took out the write to NAND technique altogether.

havin trouble finding the download link, if someone could point me in the right direction...

I wonder what's happening on GC Forever. Emukidid's been silent ever since he got back...almost, too silent if you know what I mean.

Is Emukidd even able to keep up with the progress they've been making with Not64? Its my opinion that he just doesn't spend much time on the project, and after Extrems started releasing his own updates it seemed that any update Emukidd might have released has gone by the wayside. The two should work together though, can't imagine what kind of progress we could see in that case.

He went on his honeymoon, not just a vacation. When he got back he moved into a new house which doesn't yet have an internet connection. Don't let that stop your bitching though, how dare he spend his time having an actual life instead of catering to the_randomizer's every demand...

*Sigh*

It's a bit silly to make posts on public forums if you're going to complain about people responding to them. I could suggest you stop making stupid posts but that's like asking a dog to stop licking his balls - even if you threaten him with a rolled up newspaper he's still going to do it when you're not watching.

Nice progress made with the VM pagefile NAND, business. I definitely see an improvement with this build on many games that Nakata6790 has already noted. Great work extrems, thanks much for all the progress/updates/modification of this stellar app.

When I load a rom, the following message appears:
"growing pagefile to NAND"
This is dangerous? Can brick my wii?
What is this anyway?
I am using the older version because I don't know what that is

I think it means it's copying the ROM to the NAND which it can load faster off of, which helps with load times and framerates. It won't brick your Wii but I personally as well as some others here prefer to not have this happen because the NAND being a flash drive has limited writes like an SSD, SD card etc. and when playing large games like Resident Evil 2 constantly, it'll wear it out faster.

You'd have to boot RE2 thousands of times though so it's really not big deal.

Yeah... So what fixes are there in the most recent update? It'd be nice if there were some kind of database with all the revs and what games work with each.

That sounds like a major headache. There are so many games to check, and so many different options to click on and off (under video and audio) to improve playability. Such a database for a single revision would be quite the undertaking, to update it with each revision (and there are a lot of Not64 revisions), seems like its just asking way too much.

I do think there should be one general community database that we can all contribute to and edit like the DIOS MIOS compatibility list, but I would not expect it at all to always be current or exhaustive.

Ya ok, not ALL Revs, just list all games and whatever rev runs each the best. If a new rev comes along that fixes a few games or breaks a couple, then it should be noted. Until a rev comes that runs all currently supported games and fixes problem games too, we could use fix revs in combination with another rev in wiiflow for better compatibility. And yes, its a big undertaking for one person, but if several people work in tandem, testing only a few games at a time, or casually, they could just make note of successes and issues and it would all come together.
