I increased the bus pipeline depth for the latest CPU revision, this is known to cause instability.
It seemed stable enough on Wii U (left running for days with different loads), I don't have access to a Wii Family Edition.

Did you add Wii U Pro Controller support? Glad to hear you're creating a version optimized for the Wii U though.

What would cause the Wii version to crash though, are vWii and Wii essentially the same thing? Does this mean games run faster? And also, will that Hybrid Heaven ladder issue ever be fixed?

it crashes randomly on black family wii

Well like Extrems said, he increased the bus pipeline depth for the latest CPU revision, which is known to cause instability. It seemed stable enough on Wii U, but doesn't know about Family Edition Wii. You seem to be able to confirm that Family Edition Wii crashes with the new update, so this update seems to be optimized for the Wii U's vWii. I do find this a bit surprising like The Randomizer was getting at, but perhaps Extrems has found a way to utilize the extra processing power of the Wii U for vWii homebrew (which to me would hint at huge implications for the vWii scene, but I'm not super knowledgeable on the subject, so it could mean next to nothing, I don't know). If this is the case, it would appear that this new version is for users with a Wii U, and those with a standard/Family Wii should just stick with the last version before this new update.

Eventually, I'm sure there will be a version optimized for the Wii itself, but I wonder, if these are the beginnings or a hint as to what Wii64 official will have in the change log. Has anyone tested any games thoroughly, like Hybrid Heaven? There's a interpreter/dynarec core bug where the camera goes to hell when climbing ladders, so you have to use the interpreter core for those parts. I don't think that bug'll ever be fixable.

Pushed out a hotfix.

Not64 runs slightly slower on Wii U.
Not64 is primarily developed and tested on a 2007 Wii.

Did you add Wii U Pro Controller support?
It didn't make the cut.

I could "fix" it, at a slight performance penalty, which wouldn't be so bad with the 25% increase in performance.

Wait, what? Not 64 had that much of a performance increase? I mean, I was only saying that as I had no idea how severe of an issue it really was. Now, are games like Mystical Ninja 64 and Goemon's Great Adventure simply issues with the dynarec core itself? What are some of the affected games (as in, ones that are affected the most positively)? Wasn't trying to bash you or your work, don't get me wrong, I'm grateful to see Not64 being worked on :P

That comes with time, it's not a simple "make it work on the Family Edition", please try and be a little more patient. He's doing all he can, give him a break.

DJPlace Really, dude? Really? Must you people hound him with your demands? Sheesh. Why don't you work on the program yourself?

i'm not telling him what to do.

just saying in a joking matter.

Conker or GTFO.

Wow, what an ungrateful thing to say. You know no one ever had to make any working N64 emulator for the Wii/vWii to begin with. How about a little graditude for all the work Extrems has put into this and how many N64 games are playable on the Wii/vWii because of him (and emukidid before him). Gratitude or GTFO, is what I say.

With that in mind. Thank you greatly Extrems, seriously, this is awesome, I figured Not64 development was done at this point, and I was happy enough with the compatibility we had at that point, to come in today and see an update like this is wonderful Christmas surprise. I'm so happy that people like you exist in the Wii scene, seriously, this is awesome :)

Edit: DJPlace, sorry I just saw now that you were joking. I should have realized that was a joke, thing is there are people that are that lame about stuff like this, so I apologize for coming across like a jerk here.

He was joking, he told me in the next post. I made that same mistake until he told me.
