Please can somebody help me? I'm not sure if my R4 is real. I got it in 2008 for xmas and the card's shape is straight at the top with curves at the top on the sides.
It is black with silver writing that says R4 in big letters and in smaller letters Revolution for DS (NDSL/NDS) Sorry if this is a stupid question.

Sounds reasonably legitimate to me.
Try putting WoodR4 on it, if it works then you certainly have a legit R4DS, or at least a 1:1 clone.

post some pics

we will tell you then

yep that looks legit r4 to me
to really know if its the original
did it come in like a box or like a plastic thing they sell stuff in stores?
if in a box then yes its a real r4 if in the plastic thing no but wood r4 will still work

It came in plastic, yeah. On mine though, the white writing is silver. Only had one problem with it so far, and if it is a clone, that's probably why. Do any of you guys think you know why my R4 went wrong. It's been explained in my other topic

Didn't you already solve the problem by re-copying it?
My guess is that something went wrong during the transfer the first time and corrupted the file.

Yup, solved it. But I'm curious as to why it happened. Mine was the original from my disks, worked fine untill I copied it over to my friends. even though i'd done it before without a problem

most bundled MicroSD readers are crap, that's probably the reason

If you want to know if it's a clone, you'll have to open it up.

As long as it runs Wood, I wouldn't worry to much about it.

DAMN so that means my R4's not original either?

Meh, as long as it's a 1:1 clone i'm not worried about it. I can just claim it's original and get it over with.
