Hacking NoPSN applications: running Netflix, Youtube, Plex on your jailbroken PS4

Looks like Zer0xFF found a way to bypass PSN authentication on media applications like for example Netflix, Plex, Crunchyroll and Youtube according to one of his Twitter posts (https://twitter.com/Zer0xFF/status/1026276359352532992).

So, you can find online patched media applications that don't require to login to PSN to run (like on PS3). I've only tested briefly the Netflix application and it runs... ^__^ d

Edit: Bypass PSN (my words) probably isn't correct, he found out that dumped media applications lacked proper auth_info, FWII media application still need to be installed from PSN to be dumped, he has a gist on Github with the auth_info of various applications (Plex, Netflix, Sky TV and Media Player https://gist.github.com/Zer0xFF/bdd9903f48bbeba944d59a8f05cef87b) but anyway nice achievement.

Out of my experience Netflix never required psn login to begin with, I could always use it unlike youtube for example.

Yeah, you are right, it's not a PSN bypass as I already mentioned above. Looks like media player applications need proper authentications/authorizations to access video codecs, and this information is not dumped with current dumping tools, instead a default auth_info is used that seems to be enough for dumped games.

YouTube, other than proper auth_info, needs a profile/userid, I've read (but not tried) that without PSN access one can still use a profile/user linked to another device like a phone/tablet to play videos on PS4...
