I have just recently hacked my PS Vita, it’s the slim model with firmware 3.73 linked to my main PSN account (Is it risky to keep it linked to my PSN account that I use on other devices? I don’t want it to get banned) but I could use some help...

So I successfully installed Henkaku and VitaShell but of course it’s none permanent jailbreak but it works fine, however I failed to get Adrinaline to run I keep getting an error message upon startup, I looked it up and it said I had to downgrade to firmware 3.60 which I did

Downgrade was successful but... upon start it asked me to transfer all my data to the external memory because the Vita is unable to read both at the same time in that older firmware, I did so then it forced me to format my external memory card so now my entire save data is gone...

Now, I did update back to 3.73 and get Henkaku and VitaShell back, but I do have a couple of questions...

-How can I get Adrenaline to work, do I have to downgrade to fm3.60 or can I use it on fm3.73? Are there any alternative ways to inject PSP games to work without having to downgrade? Is there a cfw for 3.60 that doesn’t require a format?

-I’m also interested in SD2Vita I already have the adapter and for now I have a 64gb SD card though if this works I plan on getting a bigger one, but does it also require a downgrade and can I just copy/paste my digital library to the SD card? What about my physical library, can I move it over too? I noticed VitaShell does let me have access to the data within the game card so is this how you move them over?

Sony does not care for vita or ps3 at all nowadays, just dont log in and go online with it just like Garfield said in a comic "Better safe than sorry" . (Reminds me of a story about Minecraft PS3 Edition where in battle mode where some asshole hacked his version and enabled all the prefixes, Flying, no knockback etc. the creative mode stuff. Basically be has killing everyone in the game as well as the modded skins with the PS3 version as it was so easy to mod the game and add your own skins and texture packs to the game. Man, That was the time to be alive)

@Jayro, I don't see whats so special about the DS ML, its just a DS lite in a phat shell. At least the phat model had louder speakers, whereas the lite has a much better screen.

They probably said "Hey, why not we combine the two together and make a 'new' DS to sell".
  • Veho @ Veho:
It's a DS Lite in a slightly bigger DS Lite shell.

    It's not a Nintendo / iQue official product, it's a 3rd party custom.

Nothing special about it other than it's more comfortable than the Lite
    for people with beefy hands.

@SylverReZ if you could find a v5 DS ML you would have the best of both worlds since the v5 units had the same backlight brightness levels as the DS Lite unlockable with flashme

    but that's a long shot

A woman with no arms and no legs was sitting on a beach. A man comes along and the woman says, "I've never been hugged before." So the man feels bad and hugs her. She says "Well i've also never been kissed before." So he gives her a kiss on the cheek. She says "Well I've also never been fucked before." So the man picks her up, and throws her in the ocean and says "Now you're fucked."

anyways, we need to re-normalize physical media

Agreed, that why I try to buy all my games on disc, Xbox anyways. Switch games (which I pirate tbh) don't matter much, I stay offline 24/7 anyways.
  • AncientBoi @ AncientBoi:
    I don't pirate them, I Use Them :mellow:. Like I do @BigOnYa 's couch :tpi::evil::rofl2:

@BakerMan - you can still "own" digital media, arguably easier and better than physical since you can make copies and backups, as much as you like.

    The issue is DRM
  • cearp @ cearp:
You can buy drm free games / music / ebooks, and if you keep backups of your data (like documents and family photos etc), then you shouldn't lose the game. but with a disk, your toddler could put it in the toaster and there goes your $60

    :rofl2:
  • cearp @ cearp:
still, I agree physical media is nice to have. just pointing out the issue is drm
  • rqkaiju2 @ rqkaiju2:
i like physical media because it actually feels like you own it. thats why i plan on burning music to cds
