Homebrew noob question : Upgrading 3ds sd card , does it matter if it's an SDXC or SDHC?

I know larger sd cards (64 gb and above I think?） have to be formatted w/ FAT32 but does it matter if the sd card I'm using is an SDXC or SDHC? Thanks

No matter. And:

• SDHC -> From 4GB to 32GB size
• SDXC -> From 64GB and above

But is recommended to use an SD size according to the content that you want to (really) use (that is, don't exaggerate with the size), and perform the quadruple format + H2TestW analysis.
