Hacking noob question ps3 cfw

I have a 60 gb backwards compatible ps3 console if i jail break it will i be able to play ps1/2/3 burned disks? i mainly just wanna play a ps2 game that i dont have the original of

Not yet, sadly... to be honest, I'm waiting for that to start happening too, as I've far too many where the original disc was ruined so long ago by some very evil playstations scratching the discs up beyond playability, or not wanting to give the *expletive* the opportunity to do so again.

As I understand it though, C4Eva has expressed interested in making some bd drive firmware to put on the ps3 bd drives after he's finished getting LT+ to work on the 360S's DVD drives.

In the meanwhile you can either use a PS2 emulator (if your PC is strong enough to play smoothly) or buy an actual PS2 and follow one of the many softmodding guides. You can sometimes find them very cheaply in game exchange stores.
