If he's installing his cIOS from a wad it's totally outdated

There seems to be wad files for most of the popular apps like, homebrew browser, dvdx etc but finding these is very difficult. Is there a reason why they are not listed even on the homebrew browser website and why its only dols ? Or is there a reason why we dont keep them in our downloads section ?

Because the dol's get updated so it's better to use a forwarder channel then you can just update the dol on the sd card

But then use CustomizeMii swap the dol's, then reinstall the wad. Would take a few mins and would save a hell of a lot of time trying to find wads.

What is the easiest method to determine the version of cIOS that I have installed?

I would also like to know what is IOS250 used for.

Wii: 3.3U, IOS249 and IOS250 is on my system.

Also, Waninkoko or whatever his name is does an incredibly horrible job at documenting a changelog.

250 updates cause the version number is the same for every release

Nintendo could but we'd just delete it like 222, 223 and 249 and install what cIOS we want to use

I just want to try the most updated and quickest technique for dumping. I don't have a external HDD(yet) and I want to back up my games. Read about SuperDump but again I can't find a tutorial on any of this stuff that's up to date with 4.2.

the only thing I know about dumping disks is you have to have cIOS 13 or lower and wifi dumps take forever

Is one backup "better" than the other, on the same Wii?

I have a NAND-backup, dating back over a year, when my Wii was a virgin to softmodding.
I want to make another dump now, cause I forgot to keep the key-file ^^ But will this NAND-dump include the custom IOS's etc, or does it contain the system only?

It contains everything Mii's, saves, cIOS's and channels installed everything

your old virgin dump won't contain saves, channels and settings you made since the backup

just take a fresh backup when you feel you need to or before you do any major mods to the system

whatever is installed on your wii's nand will be backed up including cIOS.

Ok but where do I put it? Pretty much asking how to navigate through WADManager. It ask what IOS i want to use and it's defaulted as IOS249. Do I change this to IOS36 and install in there or...? I'm lost in where I'm suppose to load cIOS!
