I started again this morning to make my wii work. I tried to install to IOS249 and get a return error -1035 for rev 14 and 15 I have been using ios 36 as the base. Network and wad both unpack and find all the files install until they want to write to 249.
I keep trying to update it and it won't work and since just about all the programs need it nothing runs.

I follow safe upgrade to 4.1 and since then nothing works. I have done trucha bug, I have tried to install but can't get anything to install to 249.
I tried to use nusd method but returns and error of not authorized.

Hey, new to this so my problem may be simple, but ive been trying for days and can't seem to figure out what it is.

I modded my Ver. 4.2E wii (bought on release day)

Homebrew works great. Added Neogamma R8 Beta 15 loader channel and USB Loader 1.4.
Ran my iso in WBFS Manager 3.0 and put it on my 8gb SDHC Card (SanDisk, made for NDS)
NeoGamma doesnt find anything, USB loader says ERROR! (ret = -1)

Does anyone have any idea whats wrong?

To sum up im trying to play a backup from an SDcard

Okay, so I fully softmodded my Wii, things are great, but I'm on 3.3U.

Seems fine right? But it isn't..My little brother is gettin New Super Mario Bros. Wii for Christmas and will without a doubt put in the Wii right there Christmas morning, which would install the newest firmware if I'm not mistaken.

So what will happen? Will my Wii brick? Or will homebrew just get wiped clean and I'll have to do the whole softmod process over? Idon't mind softmodding the system over again, but I'm not about have my Wii get bricked.

Or what if I just got the system update myself right now by getting it through checking for one? Would that brick it, or just wipe off the homebrew?

If somebody could point in the direction of the safest way to get to 4.2 firmware and then remodding the wii, it would be much appreciated....And yes, I saw the stickied topic, but I figured I'd play it safe and ask anyways.

Please, somebody answer this for me, I gotta fix up this mess tommorrow...I can't have my Wii bricked on Christmas, help a dude out

I have a North American Wii D2C with 3.1U and a Wasabi Zero going to a composite TV. I want to play PAL Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of the New World.

With NeoGamma I can play in Black and White. With Iso Patch and WiiFrii version 2.3 choosing Smart patcher I get color but the frames move rapidly vertical. I get the same thing with Brute patcher choosing 480i but I get unlit screen with Brute patcher and 480p.

I am hoping that someone will tell me how to play my game in Color.

I have the system menu 4.1E, and preloader tells me i have IOS v60 and Systemmenu v450. I now want to install a USB Loader, how should i do it correctly? I want a fitting guide for the versions i'm using, or a update guide

UPDATE: Decided to try on USB since there were no replies to SD

I used WBFS manager to format and put Just dance pal on my usb stick.

put it in the wii and both neo gamma and usb loader see it

On neogamma a green screen appears.

On USB loader I get:
ERROR #002
An error has occured
Press eject, remove the game disc and turn off the power to the console.

Any ideas?

I used to understand all those things about Wii, like 1 year ago.
Then i had to quit playing and now i realized i'm really outdated.

I guess my problem is basic, please someone help me.

I've got a Wii 3.3U modchipped, i just don't remember which chip, I guess its a d2c2pro or a wiikey, one of those.
I can run Mario Galaxy and Mario Kart ok (never got how to make smash brothers work).

Going to the point, i've just downloaded and burned an ISO of Call of Duty Modern Warfare Reflex (NTSC, like my console), and when I try to choose the game, it requests me to update my Wii.
Which alternative should I follow?

1) Update the Wii via the game?
2) Update it through the Wii Menu?

Does anyone knows which version comes with teh COD:MW? Is it the 4.2? Is it any lower?
I heard its still has some big problems, but i couldn't find anything related to Hard Mod, just to soft mod.

note: i have HBC working and a few wads, not much. I don't care if i lose them, as long as i get the Modern Warfare and other modern games to work.

I know this is a Bad Plan. Moreover, I know Rock Band Beatles runs fine, since I'd used an ISO to make sure we liked it.

How do I get it to load without updating and risking bricking it? We're eager to use the new instruments, but they use dongles in the USB ports and don't work with USBLoader GX.

No Priiloader installed

I essentially installed all the Wads but not the new system menu via Wad 1.5. There's no modchip on this Wii and it seems I'm missing a key piece to any unbricking method.

Would this Wii even be good for parts now that it is bricked?

if you have a black screen brick then phone nintendo and say you updated over wifi and when it completed you restarted the console and all you got was a black screen and if you're lucky they might send you a reconditioned wii as the new 4.2 update has bricked a few wii's
