Hi
I made several installs of HWFLY on V2 and Oled and it is the second time i have no wifi on a modded switch V2
Error 2110-1118
The bluetooth is working though.
Replacing the IC wifi chip didnt help
Replacing the 2 small resistors on the left of the cpu didnt help
Any original ideas ?

Late to the party but posting if someone else has this issue. You likely knocked off one or 2 smds on the left hand side of the APU, these feed the data lines to the wifi module. I've fixed this on an oled as well as a standard switch.

Did you check for continuity the lines from the gpu to the wifi ic passing tru this caps? found several consoles with this lines broken due to his owners traying to open the shield with a neddle and breaking this lines

This happened to me. I had to use a jumper to fix it.

the two marked red dots are the wifi trace. I severed my trace by accident when removing the heat shield. make sure you have continuity between them. if not run a jump.

I had this issue on my Switch (V2) as well, but not only did I smush one of the resistors on the left hand side like Jarmenti posted. I had to add flux then solder to the trace line to make sure the line was completely connected. Not to mention one of the solder pads for the resistor lifted making this more of a hassle. Those little SMD are super tiny and some are made of ceramic check them for any cracks, look at the trace lines and see if any is scratched (even the lightest scratch can cause it to fail) or cut.

In my opinion, never jump or bridge a circuit/traceline where a Resistor is placed. The resistor is there for a reason.

For the parts:
DOUBLE CHECK! TRIPLE CHECK! and make sure you get the correct part, I don't know if they are the same for OLED or Lite, but from other user posted: 0201 100nf SMD

mouser . com /ProductDetail/963-LMK063C6104KP-F

That's the place I bought mine from, very reputable and reliable source for electronic parts.
That's is the one I ordered, but these are for the left hand APU side, V2
If this is the one you need order 10 just to be safe in case you drop it or bounces off.

Checklist:
-Make sure no SMD Resistors are cracked, smashed, or burnt on left hand side.
-Make sure the SMD Resistors are soldered and seated properly on the pads
-Follow the line for each of those 2 SMD Resistors and check for any cuts, scraches, or damage.

Feel free to pin or repost this post in other similar threads to help others. :yayswitch:

Is there a certain way to solder it back in place? Like hot air or just a soldering iron ? I just bought 2 cause I snapped on in half so I wasn't sure how to do it properly

But they are capacitors, not resistors and probably filtering only, I have damaged somehow one of them, couldn't really see any scratch but replaced those caps with wires, and wifi is working, can this lead to any issues ?
