I recommended a dedicated amp, not a DAC. Why the F would I recommend a DAC if he has trouble with low volume?
Indeed but that little amp+dac combo on the computer cannot compare with a dedicated one. Even if its just an entry level one.Technically using the PC line in then use its built-in amplifier works too.
