Hacking no cios error

Hi All,
I am relatively new to this Wii world but have a question nevertheless...
I have sucessfuly installed the homebrew channel.
However, when attempting to launch a back game, it fails with an error saying "no CIOS".
Attempting to install the CIOS from the application list, it returns an error "-1" (or in other words, not installed...)
Runing firmware version 3.4E

Help please ?

ios16 prod wad etc etc..

replace the ciosfix.wad part of the above links guide with cios249r7.wad.
