The article says how much they are charging for it: 5,800 yen (~£30).
That's cheaper than a good, proper router.
I guess it just depends on what it can do and how easy to use it is.

Guh, guys, this is clearly NOT for the tech savvy. This is for the people who find wireless internet connections confusing and just want to go online with their Wii or DS. This device makes wireless browsing ridiculously easy, just plug your modem into the router, press a button on the adapter, and avoila, it syncs with your Wii. No mess, no fuss. It just works.

Its an overpriced piece of shit created sole-y because Nintendo wants to gouge the casual market as much as they possibly can.

Seriously though, its good news, cause now I can use WiFi in LAN places that the adapter won't work with.

And have a unit thats harder to lose
