I've never installed a WAD file though.. I just don't want to brick anything. So you're saying any iOS, it shouldn't matter?
well wad files are installers, normaly for VC,wiiware, fowarders, just dont go around ranonly installing ios wads.

you can use wad managers to install wads but make sure you know what you are installing beforehand and if it is vwii safe.

so I've made some more progress and again, so far I can only show one screenshot simply because the rest is not even implemented yet so it obviously just times out. Still, its progress ;)

Hey guys, new question. Does anyone have experience with 128/256 GB Flash Drives? I have a spare 320GB hard drive, but I'd have to buy a y cable, so I'm thinking I might just go large flash drive instead since they're only ~$25. at the 128GB Level.

Thanks

I think with everything you do you are a Super human :yaywii::creep:

Can anybody link me the HID Test from the OP? I keep finding outdated links everywhere.
nintendont already has hardcoded inis for most comon hid controllers out there unless you want to make a custom config or are using a controller that doesnt have an ini file already created you dont really need it, what controller are you using? also check abode for the program link if you need it.

do you remove the sd card running homebrew?

for homebrew to run properly, SD card must remain inside the Wii/WiiU at all times unless your device is powered OFF completely and you have to remove it to update or add/delete files..

what? lol you can use usb only for homebrew you dont need to have both usb or SD, most people forget that usb can also load apps on homebrew channel if the SD card is not inserted.

I had difficulties setting up my controller yesterday (its a GameSir G3s). Especially since it has a bunch of modes depending on what its being set up with. I got the following when i used the HID Test (from cetygamer):

"Failed to open config
HIDVersion:40001
Getting list of HID compatible devices..."

and gets stuck on that part.

Also being a nub, what is abode?

I have a 128g miniature flash drive. They're faster than hard drives, since there are no disks being read. One thing to be aware is flash drives are less reliable than hdds so if I were you I'd still keep a 2nd backup. Also, mine doesn't get hot in the Wii, which is great for a flash drive's life cycle.

Thank you, that's great to hear. I have everything backed up on my PC, it's all used in Dolphin for when I'm mobile.
