Alright so because I've seen quite a lot of people now not knowing how to properly set the triforce header or want to know if they have a valid file in their hands I decided to make a little patcher tool which automatically sets a header readable by a human and also checks the iso SHA1 to make sure whatever they have there is actually a valid dump. Just drag and drop the file you have into the .exe and let it do its work.
As a small bonus I also let it remove some useless data in GP1 which exists because of a overdumped file and also let it fix a known bad texture in virtua striker 4 version 2006 (japan) if the dump happens to have that known dumping error. Let me know if it works like it should.
Dude! You totally rock! Thanks alot!

afaik the wii itself has a 4:3 display option in the settings that should work no?

You'd think so but no. I already had my Wii set to 4:3 but just to test things I tried setting it to 16:9 and running the game. It took up the full screen that way but Leon was tall and skinny, and the hud in the lower right (which is supposed to be a circle) was an oval instead. So aspect ratio all messed up.

Set Wii back to 4:3. RE4 didn't have the messed up aspect ratio anymore, but was so small on the screen (zoomed out?) due to top/bottom black bars that it hugely looses immersion. This is why I've barely played the game despite making the mistake of buying it years ago (my save file said I was still on chapter 1 lol).

It's not the only Wii game that apparently can't be run fullscreen on a 4:3 TV (Skyward Sword and Cursed Mountain are two others I can think of off the top of my head). Although RE4 does seem to be the earliest one to do the top/bottom widescreen bars in 4:3 and have no way of removing it. Other than messing up the aspect ratio pretty atrociously.

I had my hopes up for a moment because of that other post I quoted before, but it looks like there is no solution for playing those games fullscreen on a 4:3 TV after all.

(sorry about the thread hijacking. seemed pointless to make a separate topic about this)

Correct me if i am wrong, but by any chance does this convert a arcade/mame version of a triforce game into a format that can be used with nintendont?

this tool only confirms if the file you already have converted etc is in fact valid, nothing more.

Anyways a new change I decided to look at today:
-changed the cache control in the main pad read file, this should fix the massive delay with the port 3 and 4 gc adapter reads some games had
Finally reproduced the issue and fixed it.

Nope, you need the gcm versions of the Tri-Force games, no mame files, nor iso will work, I tried that already. But I still recommend this tool to change the Game ID of Virtua Striker 4. Ver. 2006 Export and Japan to the custom one, because FIX94's tool will maintain the Game ID of the Virtua Striker 3 GCN game.

More info about changing to custom Game ID's are here.

Glad to see there's still progress going on even if it's slow it's still beneficial and this fixes a major issue to some users too, hopefully we'll see more updates in the near future, perhaps more Triforce support or perhaps a fix for first party MCs not working with the GC bios, maybe even an option to enable and disable the bios screen.

theres no more triforce support that can be done at all, all games that can work, work, the only games that dont work are the avalon games that are impossible to emulate since they arent games per say they were card games come to life and used 5 screens.so if someone crazy enough tryed to emulate that you would need a deck reader with touch screen, 5 wiis conncted and 5 tvs lol.

Has anyone forgotten to unplug their wiiu formatted HDD while they were playing a gcn game using nintendont???? If so, what happened???
Nothing. Litterally nothing.
The drive wouldn't be detected, and interferes with another one.

Ending in a non detected drive, and possibly a DSI exception.

Yeah you have to. What I meant is that leads to no drive detected if it's kept plugged in.

Its possible to have both connected and nintendont still work (I have mine setup that way) I can't recall the details of my setup off hand, but I think d2x-alt was required.

But what about the games Fix94 showed before, they're all card games and such?

the games he showed are working which were the baseball games and earlier VStrickers all you have to do is find them in iso format...

all avalon games are card games that acted like you putted your deck and then each card you putted on the touch screen was readed and had a 3d model on the server so yeah its impossible to emulate those avalon games used 5 triforce machines conneccted and had touch screens that would read cards and they would appear on the main screen.
