Hello and thanks for Nintendont... i want to ask you guys that are involved in this project: It will be theorically possible for someone (i mean me) to make 2 HID controllers to work as player 1 and 2 using a USB HUB on WII... im learning C right now and i know this is not a good plase to start learning but i just want to know if you think this is possible, not asking you guys to do it... thanks

i have useed ocarina and neek and activated code on re3 gc pal but codes not working, why?

Due to the way Nintendont has to patch some games, not all codes work. Codes modify the game by changing a specific memory address but sometimes the patches that Nintendont applies to get the game working makes the game use a different memory address and as a result those codes won't work unless they are modified to reflect the new memory address.

Possible?Probably.Easy? No.

You will need very extensive code knowledge to do this, its complicated thats why no dev ever did this becuase it would probably mean rewriting the entire hid code.

About cheat codes, all the informations are on the first page, here is the copy past:

Note1: not all cheatcode will work.
The "kenobiwii.bin" file used to handle the codes is outdated and doesn't support all code type.
If you know how to update and compile this file, let us know.
If you want better cheatcode support, update to v3.336 or newer.

Note2: Nintendont is working in Wii mode, with shifted and custom memory addresses.
Most (if not all?) existing cheat codes you will find online have been created for GameCube mode (gamecube console, Dolphin emulator, Wii in gamecube mode using MIOS/DM/DML).
Therefore the addresses are not the same anymore and a lot of cheatcodes will NOT work.

This is especially true for the cheats related to controller/Button to be pressed as the controllers are not using original functions and memory location.
To get better chances for controller's cheats compatibility, you will require to enable the "Native Control" settings and use the real GameCube controller port on compatible Wii.

But remember, this will not make it work 100% of the time.
To get 100% cheats support you need to re-search cheats using a debugger running in Wii mode.
Nobody started converting code from Gamecube to Nintendont.

Because on Windows before to turn off the computer, I always choose to remove it safely (the small option next to the clock), but of course on Wii it's impossible.

The only reason that a hard drive would corrupt is if the device was writing to it when you removed it or powered it off

Doshin the Giant (PAL) isnt working on my Wii U. I know you have to Force NTSC to get it to work right on an American system and I did but all it does is flicker the Nintendo logo and pressing buttons on the controller does nothing. It also wont let me exit with the controller combo and I have to turn the system off with the power button on the console so I think it might be crashing.

Also Kirby Air Ride just gives me a black screen and crashes. My other 20 some games work fine but these 2 are giving me problems

Check if Kirby is 1:1 iso, shrunken is known to not work.

I remember playing Doshin awhile ago but it worked fine last I tried. Check what version of Nintendont you have.

Oh Kirby is shrunken. So is Doshin. That might be the issue for both
Edit: Actually a bunch of my games are just giving me black screens. Paper Mario, Luigis Mansion, Kirbys Air Ride, Pikmin 1&2, Chibi-Robo, Mario Tennis and Baseball all give me a black screen. Nintendont seems to have no trouble loading them though. Theyre all compressed. It cant be the compression tool or anything because the games that are working were also compressed. Im on the latest version of Nintendont, anybody know whats wrong? Those games say they work fine compressed in the compatibility chart.

try using video on auto instead of forcing ntsc also maker sure your putting width on auto too.

IF your using a width value there is a high chance of black screening all games widh is extremely unstable.

If you really listen, you can hear the heads crashing if you happen to get a freeze or hang or whatever. And, even if you close Nintendont, USBLOADER GX or whatever and then turn off the console you can still hear a click (which is not the case with a PC and safe removal)
I know because I asked for this a long, LONG time ago and nobody else seemed to care (or didn't care enough to research further into it at least)
To have an automatic dismount or at least a "clickable" option to dismount the drive would be GREAT.

no homebrew has that and countless people used their hard drives with every homebrew app no one ever complained at all, also there is no way to have a clicable dismount drive lol becuase as soon as it was dismounted and you returned to homebrew menu the homebrew menu or even wii menu would mount it right after so you would still shut down the console on the exact same way.

Where do we go to report bugs? i have found an issue on the japanese pokemon colosseum bonus disc that freezes up on a black screen whenever i attempt to launch the pokemon colosseum option for celebi, from the main menu of the demo.

That's the heads parking, not crashing. You would never be using the drive again for anything other than a paperweight if the heads touch the platter.

The Wii isn't a multiuser system so as long as the drive isn't being accessed it should always be safe to power down. If an app isn't closing files immediately after it writes them only that file would be corrupted.

That compatibility chart is really old. Some games just don't like being shrunk. Some game will boot even if shrunk badly. It is best to use full 1:1 verified ISOs as it eliminates the possibility of issues caused by shrunk ISOs.

You can't actually compress a GameCube ISO. All the tool does is remove garbage data from the ISO and rebuilt it. It is a destructive process which can't be reversed.

If you are not using DMToolBox then you are likely not shrinking them correctly.

there's always a way to make the game run fine shrunken.
I use wiped gcm fixer when dmtoolbox or discex fails and all the 55 games I have on Sd are shrunken, even kirby air ride.
but as said many times before, if free disk space is not an issue, using 1:1 should always do the trick

You should always use a verified 1:1 when first using Nintendont so we know that the ISO is not to blame for issues. I remember when users would post issues about games and when they tried a verified full 1:1 it turned out that it was the ISO they were originally using.

as I said the last days I worked on triforce a bit so here is update 1 regarding that:
-added support for triforce games virtua striker 3 (jap and exp), virtua striker 4 (jap and exp) and virtua striker 4 ver 2006 jap
Those were fairly simple since we already had virtua striker 4 ver 2006 exp running, I might follow up with even more support soon.
