This title sounds like a Anti-Nintendo thread.
(I honestly think I should post that KnowYourMeme image now.
It's actually the largest thread on gbatemp that's not EOF. This just shows that people really do want gamecube on Wii U and i'm very surprised Nintendo hasn't took advantage of it.

Also most people will instantly think of this video when they read the thread title

Nintendo could be making so much money on GameCube VC games. I thought maybe they would be interested since they put out the USB GameCube adapter but I guess not.

There are so many GameCube gams that have never had a Wii version that was similar. Only now they are finally bringing back Star Fox. There's nothing like Mario Sunshine, Star Fox Adventures, Luigi's Mansion, Pokémon Colosseum and XD's Campaign mode. Sure you have the few games that were remade for Wii Controls like Pikmin (which I like better than the original). Out of all of the Mario Kart games, Double Dash is my personal favorite and I have played Mario Kart Wii, 7 and 8.

Nintendo keeps complaining about low Wii U sales yet they don't seem to want to give their customers what they want.

EDIT: This isn't like Microsoft bringing Xbox 360 games to the Xbox One as that requires significant R&D as the two consoles use completely different CPUs and the 360 game need to be emulated on the Xbox One. The Wii U uses the same CPU architecture as the GameCube, just significantly more powerful so only a few things would need to be emulated like Memory Cards. The Wii U has more than enough horsepower to play GameCube games perfectly, even more than Nintendont since you are not bound by the limitations of the Wii.

EDIT 2:
Here is something interesting:

Over 100 Million Wii units have been sold worldwide VS 10 Million for the Wii U. The GameCube sold more than double the Wii U worldwide.

having MIOS/DM/DML doesn't affect nintendont disc reading, as it's not using that slot.
Nintendont is only using slot 58, it doesn't care what's inside the MIOS slot.

users with issue running disc with DM/DML : running disc requires the SD/USB connected.
but again, shouldn't affect Nintendont at all.


If your console can read burned disc, it should work with gamecube discs too.
Nintendont can't launch it, or it doesn't even detect the disc is inserted?
Did you try running the disc by launching it from an external loader? (usbgx or wiiflow)


What you could try :
install Wiigator cMIOS, and use Gamecube launcher/neogamma to see if your console can boot burned gamecube discs.
Nintendont can detect the disc but it can't load it and it gives this error:"the disc is not a gamecube disc."
despite my console can read burned wii games in neogamma it can't read burned GC games.
and I tried running the disc with nintendont and i don't have a external loader(usbgx or wiiflow)
 
you sure the disc is bruned correctly? maybe it isnt imo, maybe its burned somewhat like a wii disc and not like a gc disc.
 
Guys, I really need help. I'm trying to install the HBC and it's stuck on the scam screen.

I did everything the instructions tell me and nothing work. I installed HBC before, but now it just don't want to install anymore. I'm running 4.3U.

I got MMM and booted it to see if I can fix it. Am I going the right way or not? I really want to play Nintendont, but that stupid "failed to kenral NAND" is always in the way!

install a clean non patched IOS58 from nintendo's servers using MMM, and then reinstall the HBC using your favorite exploit.
 
Hi, I wanted to ask a couple of maybe silly questions:
I own Luigi's Mansion PAL, and that game is 50hz Only. Thing is, I discovered a couple of "cheat codes":

Enable 50/60Hz Mode Option [Ralf]
204C5718 00000000
044C5718 00000001
E2000001 80008000

Enable 50/60Hz Mode Option v2 [Ralf]
04008544 38000001
04008548 900D00F8

This code allow you to select between 50/60hz mode at the title screen:

Interlace mode = 50Hz
Progressive scan mode = 60Hz

These are Wiird codes, just like the ones you can find for Wii. The question is, if I make a dump of my game, would Nintendont work well with these? As far as I see, it just makes the option for 50/60 pop up, so it probably means that it's something already on the game.

But I don't know if it would screw Nintendont in some way.
The same question is for this other code.

Difference being that the game doesn't support widescreen on it's own, as far as I know. And again, it could cause problems with Nintendont.

Dolphin emulator can run it.
I burned it with Imgburn with 3x speed. is there some other option i should select for imgburn to burn GC disc ? my wii runs wii games correctly but not the GC discs.

Out of curiosity, what is the size of the ISOs you are burning? Are they 1.35GB for Windows / 1.46GB for Unix/Mac or are the smaller?

nintendont runs all isos the thing is some cheats might not work depending on the memory adresses becuase nintendont changes some of them for games to work also im preety sure nintendont already has a built in widescreen code for luigi mansion if you force widescreen on the settings but the 50/60 hz option it doesnt but you can also try force pal60 on nintendont videomodes wich might work just the same as the cheat codes, all that aside all those codes should work no problem.



if all gc homebrew apps say its not a gc iso something is wrong and it isnt just nintendont issue.

Is this a ImgBurn problem ?
 
Help. When I try to play Nintendont on my Wii, I always get "failed to load kenral from NAND".

I installed ios58-64-v6176.wad and it still didn't work. My Wii is 4.3U.

Is it my 32GB SDHC SanDisk card or something else?
