It's been a while since I messed with the LoZ N64 emulator for NGC, but I'd imagine it would have even worse compatibility than the N64 VC emulators. So that probably wouldn't be worth doing, but I agree, that would probably be the only way it could be related to Nintendont.
Using the GameCube N64 Emu would be horrible since the GameCube is less powerful than the Wii. It would be far better to code an N64 emu for the Wii as you would have a much higher compatibility than using TLoZ N64 emu.

Yep, that was my point. That and it had little to nothing to do with Nintendont.

If it was coded by the Nintendont team I could see how it would be related. I do know that the larger N64 game 32MB+ would either not work or have issues as the Wii doesn't have enough system RAM to handle it. Especially those games like Donkey Kong that required the RAM expansion pack.

I think Not64 addressed that by copying the ROM to the NAND. Not really the best option, though, as that could cause your NAND to wear out a bit quicker. FIX is very talented, but I highly doubt we'll see a really good N64 emulator on the Wii, it's just not that powerful and even some of the N64 VC games Nintendo released for the Wii have some issues.

Though, the main point was it just doesn't seem like something that should be on the wishlist, as Troopage was wondering why someone gave him a hard time about that.

We'll call it Nintendont64.

Forinstance it is possible to build something on the base of the virtualconsole. some people injected roms more or less successfull into vc-n64-wads. i guess there must be possibilities. ;)

Edit:Nintendont64 +++

Just talking out my ass, but Windows has Ready Boost, which lets you use part of your HDD as extra RAM. If something like that could be coded for use with Wii... Meh, prolly a long shot. :P

About all the Wii64 talk, which to my opinion is totally out of place here, don't get your hopes up to high.
emu_kidid himself said it was superceded by NOT64 and not much is worked on it since 2013.
This Wii64 project is not worked on at the moment also, he stated that he will put out all he has, so someone else can pick it up if they want.

LOL, and this is especially meant for dragonking725,

Well, that's really what the NAND is, and that's basically the general idea of the situation you quoted ;) Also remember that the Wii only has 512MB of NAND flash storage, anyway

don't forget Windows can access high speed HDDs over high speed buses and DMA.
Wii only have usb 2.0 speed and even the Nand is not that speedy.

lets face it, the Wii is way less powerful than a PC in general.

I thought the PS2 Controller was supported through Sony's PS2-PS3 USB Adapter. I thought the Xbox 360 Controller was supported through the Coronus Max Adapter.
I think they they meant without adapters. Idk.
Anyways, thanks for all the N64 emulator info, guys. I do have another question though; Is it possible to use the larger amount of RAM available on the Wii U?
Nintendont Wishlist
  • "Stretch Underscan" setting
  • Swiss' widescreen sprite/text patching
  • Larger memory card support for Ultimate Spider-Man
  • Fix for glitches occurring when forcing widescreen in Sonic R from the Sonic Gems Collection
  • Fix for the menu's videomode, so PAL users with RGB have colors instead of everything in red.
  • Ability to take screenshots
  • Home menu
  • PS and Xbox controller support
  • Better frame rate in some parts of some games
  • N64 emulator on Wii/vWii made by the Nintendont team

Hello everybody, I have a little issue with my controller in Nintendon't.

I am using a Dualshock 3 (PS3) and trying to play Baten Kaitos Origins NTSC on my PAL vWii. The controller works perfectly with every game I have (including Smash Bros, Mario Kart, Baten Kaitos 1, Mario Sunshine etc).
But on Baten Kaitos Origins, the R and L triggers don't work (or very randomly).
Examples:
- when you start a new save file, you can create your name, and switch letters tab by using R/L, but it doesn't work for me (even when analog pressed all the way). If I disconnect the PS3 controller and start using the Wiimote+Nunchuck without even leaving the screen, the R/L buttons work fine. So I'm guessing it does have something to do with the DS3 support and not my ISO.
- when in game, if you go in the menu, you can go check your inventory and switch tabs using R/L. Again, works fine with the Wiimote+Nunchuck, but it works completely randomly with the PS3 controller. One time I'll press menu and it works infinitely for as long as I stay in the menu, and one other time I'll press menu and R/L will never work for as long as I stay in the menu. I think that might be a clue to this problem.

I'm using Nintendon't v3.349 on a PAL Wii U vWii through USB Loader GX.
I've tried two different ISO so far.

Any help? If not, can anyone check about analog triggers working on this game with a PS3 controller or Gamecube controller or anything that has analog triggers?
Maybe a controller.ini patch changing the R/L settings?

no, only if wiiu mode gets fully unlocked like IOSU acess is that we might change the amout of processing power/ram available for vwii only maybe, if that is code and not some phisical chip being used tough.

are you using your own controller ini? or are you letting nintendont internal configs providing the ini for you?

I've let the default .ini
I have downloaded the Nintendon't controller.zip from the homebrew itself. Also, about a few hours ago I changed A and B but the problem occured before and after I did that so I doubt it changed anything.

if you said the L and R work on every other game i doubt its the ini fault tough.

One thing i noticed on nintendont is L/R triggers are extremely sensitive even if you let go the L/R if they dont go out all the way and stay like 1 mm pressed(used or worn out controllers) nintendont will never tell the game the button was unpressed, the slight pressure signals as pressed, try pusihng the L/R buttons out with your hand to make sure they go all the way out.
