Just don't use the PAL Bios if using a Wii U. Make sure they are named correctly.this thing just reached the perfection, the last thing it needs is the gamecube intro animation when you start a game

i have a usa region WiiU. but ok thanks, also this will show the intro on pal games? or only on ntsc-u?Just don't use the PAL Bios if using a Wii U. Make sure they are named correctly.
Most Homebrew is FAT32 only and it's way more compatible with all computers. Most Linux/Mac computers can only read to NTFS but not write to it.So...
What's the real reason behind ntfs being a big no-no?

NTFS support is very sparseSo...

Wired xbox 360 controller support wishlist. I think it works for devolution so it might be possible with nintendont also maybe.
Alright, it has been done.Agreed, especially since I have more Xbox 360 controllers than PS3, and because the 360 controller is far more comfortable than the shitty PS3 controller with the analog stick at the bottom, seriously why won't they ever fix that?
I'm pretty sure these are pipe dreams, so I'll put them in a separate category. Seriously, though? Banjoo and Kazoi? Do you see how badly you spelled it?On a side note, I was thinking earlier, many Gamecube titles suffered from bad framerate, especially multiplatform thrid party games like Crash Bandicoot TWoC and Sonic Heroes "2P mode" this probably is impossible to be implemented, but would it be possible to make like a patch or an option to make these games run with a better framerate without having them to run fast with Nintendont?
Another thing to ask, and I'm being serious here, but how different is the N64 to the Gamecube from a technician perspective? I'd really love it if N64 support was ever planned, even if it was its own app instead, there are many games I'd like to play or revisit, Rayman 2: The Great Escape, Conker's Bad Fur Day, Banjoo and Kazoi, Mischief Makers, and some Super Mario 64 hacks, now I know the obvious answer "if you want it make it yourself" so no need to point that out, I was simply asking a question![]()

I played Crash Bandicoot: Wrath of Cortex 100+% and never noticed any frame rate issues. I was playing the NTSC-U version on my GameCube at 480i. The GameCube version was far superior to the "Takes forever to load a level" PS2 version.
The graphics engine also exhibits signs of a lackadaisical port. There are multiple points in the game where the frame rate noticeably drops. It never crawls, but for a game with a level design held over from the days of PlayStation polygon budgets, any frame rate drop at all is a mark of laziness.
Meanwhile, the framerate in the GCN version suffers, a regrettable fact that is hard to overlook given that the title is by no means pushing the boundaries of what GameCube is capable of from a graphic standpoint.

All I'm saying is I never noticed it whereas a PS2 game like Ratchet and Clank: Deadlock has severe frame rate issues throughout the game and should have never been released like that for a PS2 exclusive.
I guess I'll have to give the game another play through to see if I notice it or not.
I played Crash Bandicoot TWOC on all three consoles before "PS2 was only half playthrough as it was at my friend's house and I was lucky he let me play that long" but I own it on both Xbox and Gamecube, I can assure you aside from the exclusive GBA minigame, which isn't much, the Gamecube version is by far the worst, longer loading times "with even less interesting loading screen effects" incredibly bad frame rate, and messed up controls. All I'm saying is I never noticed it whereas a PS2 game like Ratchet and Clank: Deadlock has severe frame rate issues throughout the game and should have never been released like that for a PS2 exclusive.

Hi there
I've started using Nintendont a few days ago on my PAL Wii, mainly to play Mario Kart Arcade GP 2 and F-Zero AX, but also to be able to play with GC games in great conditions (480p is so great). It's also very useful since my disc drive seems to be dead and just ejects any disc I try to put in.
I've read some guides about Nintendont to see what the possibilities are, what the various options do and such, but there are still things I can't figure out.
Not a real problem actually, but the BIOS files don't work properly. It may have something to do with my Wii being PAL region, but they almost never load when launching an ISO. I could never see the Triforce logo animation with Mario Kart AGP2 or F-Zero AX. It only worked once when launching Metroid Prime (NTSC-U), and a screwed up version showed up for PAL SSBM, with much slow down on the GameCube logo animation.
I just removed all the BIOS files but was wondering what could cause this? I respected everything indicated in the guides I read so that's weird.
Another issue concerns Baten Kaitos Eternal Wings NTSC-U version. The text isn't displayed properly at all whether it's names, menus, subtiles and such. It seems to be caused by the system menu being in a language other than English. It can be resolved by changing the language in the Wii options, or by forcing English in Nintendont options, BUT! The physical memory card used also seems to cause the problem for whatever reason.
I have four memory cards, all containing PAL saves, and they all cause the text to be messed up. I wanted to use a real memory card for personal preference but had to give up (and I don't have any empty memory card available), and eventually found that the virtual memory card option from Nintendont resolved the text issue. Well, I found the solution myself regarding that but I'm really wondering, Why?
Why would the memory card and/or saves on it cause anything regarding the in-game texts? That doesn't make sense to me, hence why I'm talking about it there.
I think I forgot one or two things which I'll probably recall later on haha

Yeah Baten Kaitos NTSC does that. I was the one who reported it a few pages ago when I tried to launch it in frenchAnother issue concerns Baten Kaitos Eternal Wings NTSC-U version. I don't remember the version of Nintendont for the moment but I'll think about mentioning it when asking for help from now onFirst off what is your nintendont version? dont say latest check the number that is the first thing to say.
Bios only works with MCemu if you are using a real memory card you will never see the bios, and bios have specific names and locations on your drive but regardless they only work with mcemu not with real memory cards like you seem to be using.
its stated on the compat list that forcing another language other than english on baiten kaitos ntsc destroys the text, becuase your probably forcing some unused code that was on the pal version of the game since that one has languages when you furst save the memcard has a scram value thing that saves the language of the save the first time it was saved, s if you were forcing french and saved that save will always be in french until deleted and messing up your text files.
People that want languages should always use pal isos since those have language support by default sure you loose 480p and 60hz sometimes depending on the game but you get a clean french game if you prefer french.
If it says that modes compatible on the compatability list then it could be you're using a scrubbed iso and not the 1:1 1.35Gb file. Just a thought. Though i never understood what the tick squared was about. Make sure you have the version as listed tooI don't remember the version of Nintendont for the moment but I'll think about mentioning it when asking for help from now onThat shouldn't change many things for the concerned problems anyway.
I've been told about the required MCEmu for the BIOS to work, but it still didn't show up at least for arcade games. They were put in the correct place with the right filenames. I don't have any reason to use them anymore though so I got rid of the files
Sorry if it wasn't clear but you probably got me wrong about the Baten Kaitos issue; I didn't want to force another language in the game, and got the USA ISO for a reason (which is 60Hz and 480p as you can guess!) even though I'm French. Of course I quickly found the reason for the corrupted texts so I could get those right when forcing English or make the Wii system settings in English. I just found it really odd that using my real memory cards with PAL saves still corrupted the text whereas the language was actually forced in English, and I don't have any PAL Baten Kaitos save file on any memory card. Well at least, I could find what cause it and use MCEmu instead but I was just curious to know if anyone else got the issue and knew how a memory card could force other languages.
By the way I tried using a PAL ISO for Baten Kaitos but as expected, it turned out to be incompatible with forced progressive scan and is 50Hz only like PAL Tales of Symphonia, which I hate pretty much for being slower with bad optimizations and such.
Would it be possible to update the compatibility list about those two PAL games by the way? I may be wrong, but there's no way you can force progressive scan on them so it should be listed as incompatible. The same goes for other 50Hz-only games like Luigi's Mansion, but please correct me if I 'm wrong. It's always very interesting for me to have more knowledge about display issues and compatibilities.
Thanks !
