thanks - i guess im just too used to google code - when looking at the source it always shows the rev number on the left columnrefer to the version of the loader, it's incremented when the sources are edited.
latest release is v3.333
I think you inverted your tldr.
So, the "deflicker" is an option to add blurry-ness, I thought it was to remove it. That's why I didn't understood the ON/OFF.
edit:
Yeah, it looks clearer with that option OFF. but some game may benefit from enabling that option.
the DF is a video mode setting that games can enable/disable, not really a hack.
it's like editing/forcing a different video mode (width, height, DF, prog, int, etc.)

I think nintendont automatically disable it for all games, unless you want it back.
If you launch your game from another gamecube loader (original gamecube, MIOS, DML) it will be blurry if the developers enabled it.
if you leave all settings to default in GX, the blur is removed by Nintendont.
if you don't want nintendont to patch it and keep the game "as it should be", set the option to ON + Force a video mode.
by default, deflicker is always enabled, it basically draws the image smoother but blurred out a bit, if you force a video mode like NTSC without deflicker your games will look sharper and less blurry.
So, if I select auto and leave everything else "as is" graphics should be "blurry", right? Now, Does GX GLOBAL video mode affect this setting at all? (Meaning that there is a VIDEO MODE option in GX "main" options as well as in NINTENDONT specific options)if you wanna check out deflicker in an actual game set the video mode to auto and open up melee, there in the settings you can disable and enable deflicker to see its effects on the graphics live. Its just an option I found was pretty neat since it looks much better for me with deflicker off so I thought I would implement it for all games via nintendont.
yes, it is the game default and cant be disabled in anything besides melee normally, pretty weird setting, no idea why it was only in a single game.
I see you updated your original reply.I think nintendont automatically disable it for all games, unless you want it back.

if you don't want nintendont to patch it and keep the game "as it should be", set the option to ON + Force a video mode. but instead of being "as it should be" I guess it'll force to be blurry, even if the game was not designed with it.
the deflicker disable code is basically a hack by me, by default deflicker is used, so if you want to be as accurate to the original as possible then you leave deflicker ON when forcing a video mode. Remember, ONLY when actually forcing a video mode then this hack gets applied, this option has no effect on the auto video mode at all. the fact that GX does enable my deflicker disable hack is actually the other way around, ENABLE=blurry, DISABLE=sharp, its as simple as that.

If you don't select one of the "force xxx" in GX then the game displays as it is intended by the developers.
if you select Force xxxx, then in addition you have to choose whether you want deflicker ON (blurry) or OFF (not blurry). by default it's set to OFF in USBLoaderGX.
There's no default in Nintendont, either you select "Force" (deflicker is OFF) or "Force + deflicker " (deflicker is ON).

good idea, also as a suggestion by crediar I renamed the github repository, now its just Nintendont so maybe you can rename that again.I'll probably hide the deflicker choice if no video mode is forced, that will prevent users trying the option with Auto and thinking it's broken.
Thanks for the reply Fix94.
In USBLoaderGX, all the "force xxxxx" are considered forcing : Force NTSC 480p, Force PAL576i etc...
the other one (auto, none, system default, game default) are not enabling the "force" option in nintendont and the deflicker option has no effect.
If you don't select one of the "force xxx" in GX then the game displays as it is intended by the developers.

There's no default in Nintendont, either you select "Force" (deflicker is OFF) or "Force + deflicker " (deflicker is ON).
so the behaviour very much is the same then in both yea.
So you're basically looking for either NINTENDONT or a lover, right? Good luck my friend LOLanyone give me please nintendont v 3.31 or lover... in 3.33 some glitches... freezes, steam audio is not work in some games, RE2 when you pick Magnum and Equip it, freez!!!!!
there is no diference that affects any games besides freekstyle and from russia with love from 331 to 333 lol its game specific code, if your having issues on 333 make sure you didnt changed settings and forced stuff.anyone give me please nintendont v 3.31 or lover... in 3.33 some glitches... freezes, steam audio is not work in some games, RE2 when you pick Magnum and Equip it, freez!!!!!
yes, I try to match options behavior from both loaders so it's easier to setup.
I'll probably hide the deflicker choice if no video mode is forced, that will prevent users trying the option with Auto and thinking it's broken.
Guys, after testing back and forth i finally got it. And now I wonder... Would it be possible to "port"(so to speak) the deflicker switch to wii games since Smash Bros has the same deflicker on/off option?good idea, also as a suggestion by crediar I renamed the github repository, now its just Nintendont so maybe you can rename that again.
