Joel Schmidt The fuck? What do you know, it works, I deleted kenobiwii.bin file from USB:/sneek and the game works fine with 2.295, the first game anyway, ran every time I tested it, now Episode III still doesn't work but hey that's progress, good find, maybe Fix94 can look into it and see why is this file affecting the game.

sonictopfan and pedro702: Do both of you have kenobiwii installed on your usb drive?
never had kenobiwii at all i just use an hdd with nintendont and the games thats it preety much, so that has nothing to do with the issue neither has component or noone component an error message isnt due to video. Like i said tryed on wiiu(hdmi) and wii(default cables that come with pal console) and its random either boots up or not.

PSOE1&2 worked fine every time I ran it after deleting kenobiwii.bin however Episode III still gave me the error message every time, that's just from my testing anyway, don't know if it's pure luck or if it's related.

Edit: Forgot to mention that I could never get either game to work with 2.295 if I keep kenobiwii.bin in the sneak folder.

try 10 boots you will see it will fail before 10 max i ever got was 6 boots in a row wich means the issue is there and it never had kenobiwii ever so if that was the case the game should work perfect and it doesnt.

Its all about luck the issue is luck based video mode or kenobiwin dont make much diference becuase as you said psoIII still crashes and its the same error with the same hacks you just got unlucky there and lucky with pso1&2.

Honestly, i don't remember, but probably the second gci is from the second memory card. I used to create a backup on another memory card before i got Wii and was able to make backups on SD card. With Nintendont it's obviously even easier.
I figured it was probably a second thing. Either way the save works great, thanks! :)

I have stated several times that

1) My original issue occurs when using COMPONENT video cables only. You are using hdmi and whatever the default cable that comes with pal systems. Those are not the same and does not help me try to resolve the issue. Especially since I have a NTSC system.

2) I have run 10 for 10 launches of PSO Plus in 2.283 using component av and got 100% success. I have run 10 for 10 launches of PSO Plus in 2.284+ with component av (without the kenobiwii file installed) and got 100% FAIL.

Please stop telling me (and sonic) that I am wrong and that it is just pure luck when I have shown otherwise.

The strange part is that you get success with it removed and I get improvement (sort of) with it installed. Sadly it is enough of a headache for me that I am going back to using Devolution.

my original wii doesnt use component cables, hdmi is for wiiu only wich is basicaly component so i test on a wii withouth component and without kenowii or whatever its called and on wiiu with hdmi wich is basicaly component if it was a video issue you wouldnt see the disc error heck you wouldnt see a thing.i doubt everyone here wich is preety much everyone reported the game randomly saying the disc error were using knobiwii and component...

It doesn't bother me for the most part either, i still own about 30 games, among them the games i really like to play again. I got them all ripped and verified.
It is a bit tedious though if you decide to buy another hdd. you need to reverify them again or copy a 1:1 image to your new hdd.
Or if you want to play them on your wii u, you still need a wii to verify them and the controllers.
If your controllers or your hdd died, you also may need to reverify again...

Other than that... yeah i still like DEVO.

I'm curious as to what advantages Devolution has over Nintendont since compatibility is nearly 100%. I mean, are there really any advantages? Disc verification is just...weird to impose on games no longer being sold, but that's just me.

Now if FIX94 can just figure out why PSO Episodes 1&2 Plus and PSO III are such problematic. I guess after that the next logical feature to add is Modem Emulation and then Devolution can fully be retired. I know kongsnutz was working on it but I haven't seen him on here in a while.

I think fixing the broken hard drives needs higher priority then the modem support but the PSO games definately need to be looked at again

FIX94 is working on it but he's getting all sorts or weird results. I was referring to the next feature to add when the current problems are fixed.

I wonder, for me USB sticks/HHDs compatibility is of course more important, but if modem emulation will allow me to play Homeland(as far as I remember someone was translating it to english) - I would really like to try.

Still, I'm not sure if I Homeland have any non-official(of official) servers these days... Personally I would be able to set up one(running probably 24/7) if we have any GNU/Linux software for that but I doubt.

so, the compatibility list says NFL Blitz 2003 should work fine. However, all I get is a black screen with this game when I try to use Nintendont to load it. Works with DIOS MIOS. I'm using the latest release!

What's the deal? Can anybody else run this? If so, what settings do you use?

I just tried my copy, and with BIOS enabled the game ran fine. Without BIOS I also encountered a black screen much like the one you had. I assume DIOS MIOS runs my copy fine as well

Edit:

I actually did a few tests and can say this much:
Ran with BIOS = works
Ran without BIOS = works
Ran without BIOS/Memory Card Emulation turned off = black screen

I'm using a full 1.35gb NTSC-U ISO

So now that Nintendont can support saving with triforce, I picked mario as my guy to use for racing and if I wanted to pick someone else I need to start fresh again? Doesn't let you pick a new guy. lol
