Hacking Nintendont

Ok so i found the [Nintendo Wii U GameCube Controller Adapter] ini file renamed it controller and i launched nintendont and it said it did not match

Open up HIDtest and compare the raw values of the inputs with the ones on the controller.ini file.

Launch like any normal homebrew app

make sure your adapter is plugged in before you launch it

First make sure the PID and VID match

Press buttons and make sure everything matches

if it looks like this when nothing is pressed

11 11 11 11 11 11 11 11 11

and you press A and it changes to this

11 11 18 11 11 11 11 11 11

A=2,08 (because it's in offset 2, value that changed was an 8)

The first offset is offset zero

Your VID and PID do not match the official gamecube adapter .ini look here https://code.google.com/p/nintendon...ontroller_Nintendo_Wii_U_GameCube_Adapter.ini Maybe try changing VID to 0079 and PID to 1843 in your controller.ini

I got it to work turns out the switch was stuck going towards the wii u mode but still in pc mode? Not sure how that works but I switched it to pc and then to wii u again and it worked. Thank you all for the help!

I've been lurking and watching this and was actually about to ask the same thing. Either that or you have a faulty adapter, maybe

So if it's on PC mode the PID VID is different but it doesn't take any inputs. So strange to me

I'm posting this here because it will get more attention then the master mod thread

Would anybody like to be able to download 100% save files from within the Nintendont loader? This would allow games like Super Smash Bros Melee and Mario Kart double dash (among others) to have everything unlocked without needing cheat codes/asking here/checking official repository/browsing the internet/unlocking them yourself

Post in the master mod thread (second link in my signature) that you would like this feature.

I personally prefer to unlock everything myself. I did years ago and love seeing if I'm any better because I'm older.

So for ppl with rogue game and HDD noise I added an option in download menu to disable HDD pinging:

it's enabled by default every 10 secs (I'll make it 2 mins if it works fine)
please check both options and let me know if all is cool

maybe check your hdd for errors, it never failed for me. Saving takes like 5 seconds for me and it never freezes the sound, just the picture.
Also I played some more GP2 and I just finished 150cc and got the ability to press b in a race to get into 1st person, looks pretty crazy, heres the save if anyone is interested:

Thanks, I'll try again and see if it works, I just bought a y-cable (well technically it's a 3 male y-cable + 2 female cable connected together) maybe this could help? If not maybe someone can give me a save file to test it and see if I can get past that save screen and get the game running again, otherwise I'll have no choice but to use an old version of Nintendont for this game along with both Phantasy Star Online games.
