FIX94 made Nintendont fully compatible with IOS58 (use any usb port for anything).

The current solution is the Nintendont mastermod compiled for v2.229. It includes all the game fixes added in v2.230 and afterwards.

Aha, well, okay then, and that's on the Google Code page for Nintendont or is it in someone's sig on this thread? Where was that mod posted?

The Nintendont themes and custom mods thread (link in my signature)

Okay, I see the thread, what if I don't want to use custom themes or backgrounds? Unless they're not that hard to get up and running. Yeah, it's been a while since I've used it, at least on the Wii. Never did run it on the Wii U.

You don't have to use the themes or backgrounds. Obviously it's the only way for people that have issues with v2.230 and newer to actually enjoy the newer updates.

The mod is really simple to setup the themes and background. You can download everything from within the Nintendont mastermod itself.

Anymore mod related questions need to be asked in the other thread, otherwise people will start nagging at us

Ugh...sorry. Yeah, it's been too long since I've used this app.

Has anyone gotten wave race to work? It's an audio streaming title but it's the only game that black screens on me. It's green on the compatibility list so I have no idea what's wrong.

i think in early revisions of sd card it used to work. and then i think i had issue's with it on all newer revision but could also be because its a shrunk iso!!

wave race is a audiostreaming game if its badly shrunken it wont work that is for sure cause of the allignement and such.

Nintendont is more like an interpreter which runs Gamecube games natively.

Can someone explain this to me? I understand the previous two statements (This isn't based on DIOS MIOS, and it's not an emulator since the Wii U isn't powerful enough), how is something like Nintendont possible then?

It basically runs gamecube code natively, since wii and gamecube shares ppc architecture.
It dosen't have to translate or emulate gamecube code. It just has to interpret it like any wii code.

Let's say it does a similar job as windows. you can run windows xp software on windows 8 natively, with compatibility tweaks. Nintendont is targeting a similar result.

That's cool as heck.

Thanks for the explanation.

If it were so easy then we would have a 100% compatibility :P The reason some games dont work properly is because on the wiiu some devices dont exist anymore so we need to emulate them, so in a sense nintendont is also a emulator for certain things.

You are right :) I assumed perfect interpreter, but you know what you are doing, I'm not coding nintendont kernel lol :P

It means it runs Gamecube games natively, as in the Wii is a modified Gamecube, just like the Game Gear is a modified Master System.

Note: HID USB can be connected on the front port on WiiU only if you launch a game located on SD card.
If you launch a game on USB, connect the USB cable on the back of your console.
Ummm not true, I use the gamecube adapter just fine in front wiiU usb ports and my usb drive in top back port.

OK, I have a question, but first, excellent work on the app guys! It's nearly perfect!

What's the button combination to exit a game with a GameCube Controller plugged into the Wii?

I know, I'm just saying this part of OP should be changed.

It needs to remain on the OP until the v2.230 problems are solved

cyan just needs to add "versions 2.229 and earlier must use the bottom back usb port for usb controllers when loading games from a usb device"
