I am assuming by that error you are using USB loader gx. They changed something in nintendont and now USB loader GX no longer recognises what version you have. You need to update your loader to rev 1233 and all should be well. Irs something to do with recognising date issues and version numbers. I forgot what it recognises now but they changed USB loader to recognise the new method. I hope this helps
Ok I found rev 1233 on the usb loader Google site, but how do I go about updating to this version, I already updated in usb loaders settings and it only updated to rev 1231, now it says no new updates......
Got it, just replaced the files, meta, dol, elf and icon from the revision zip file. Thanks

so many people with their problems, anyways the last days I played a bit in nintendont for fun and to test stability and for me its rock solid, finished need for speed underground 2 with no problems whatsoever using my wiiu pro controller, its such a good controller.
just an image from my capture card, svideo input, force ntsc with no deflicker, having quite a good picture for interlaced vide input.

You don't actually need to replace all of it, just the .dol file really. I don't know for sure it changing it all has any real benefit.

I anyone knows of any reason why you would update all the files, I would be interested in finding out or do you only need all the files the first time?

Is it released?
No, but it's getting there. That's why I said "not too far off". The only people who have it now are donators (my way of saying thanks) and other testers. They've been helping me work some kinks out and giving me feedback. I released it too soon earlier. I still don't have a PAL game, but I got some other USA games from my brother (he has a GC) so I could expand my options.

The text looks so smooth compared to the current release.

Any possible way in the future we can choose the background picture like r4 cards on the ds?

I wouldn't count on it. That would increase the chances of user errors. I clearly jumped the gun on the first release. I hadn't considered that it could mess with PAL games.

The main purpose of this update is to (1) make the text easier to read for people with small TV's and (2) add flexibility for the devs by allowing different font sizes. If you haven't noticed, we're entirely out of space on the options menu. The background was just something I threw in there.

Well cant we just replace /data/background.png with another image with the same resolution and compile nintendont to get our custom backgrounds?

Yes, that would work fine. I'm just not adding code for loading files from a FAT device. It wouldn't be especially hard, but custom backgrounds adds more possibility for error.

Eh its not listed thier but i heard you can stream the GCN games to the gamepad but you can not use it as a controlelr is this correct?
Correct. There is no way to control anything with the Gamepad on the vWii side, but you can stream everything to the Gamepad be selecting it when launching vWii mode.

Hey Joostin, is there a simple fix for games that run too fast? Rocket Power Beach Bandits seems to run about 1.5x, outpacing audio by a long shot. ;c

Fix94 has done a lot of work on game timing but I would imagine one or two games still require more work. I wouldn't pester him to do it tho, your likely to get a response such as "its open source, fix it yourself".

The guy is a genius, as are all the devs. But all their work is done in their own time, and takes a huge amount of coding skill and effort. Us mortals have no rights to demand anything off them, but only to appreciate what they have already done. Peace

Not a simple fix. It's odd that it would run correctly on disc, but not through a loader. FIX94 is more likely to know about this. I don't own the game anyway, and I've got a no-piracy policy.

Would it be considered piracy if you have an NTSC copy of the game and download the pal version? It's a bit of a shame that brilliant devs should be hindered by their "morals", stopping them from obtaining what's necessary to improve compatibility for those who may legally own the games in question.
