Hacking Nintendont

Trying to get this setup on my freshly softmodded vWii. It was working fine at first, but when I tried using a USB stick to store ISOs instead of my SD card, the games started freezing at the Nintendo logo. Even if I move the games back to the SD card and load from there, it happens there too now. Tried loading Super Mario Sunshine and Luigi's Mansion, both have the same issue. (Although, Luigi's Mansion freezes at the red nintendo logo and doesn't fade out, where as Super Mario Sunshine gets past the Dolby logo and freezes on the following black screen. I'm assuming these are roughly the same issue as both are at the end of their respective logo sequences.)

I've tried formatting both the USB stick and the SD card to FAT32 with 32kb clusters, deleting the nincfg.bin, and playing with video settings, none of these worked. Tried waiting a few minutes to see if it was just loading slowly, didn't work either.

It's just too much waiting and I've failed it over 5 times now, sorry.

Alright, neither of those work. Nintendont considers the memory card corrupt and I tried to change the blocks in Nintendonts settings to each one, still no.

Also Joostin, sometimes when I launch Nintendont it freezes at the Init Card and just shutdowns my Wii.

I need to know the error value it gives before I can help you with the Init Card error.
 
sow hat exactly happens when you boot the game blackscreen? what version does nintendont displays on top while on nintendont? i mean you never actually said what was the problem.
It just says something like "No game found in SD/games". The version I have is 1.0
 
Haven't checked in on this project in a while! GREAT to see real memory card support.

Is there still the glitch with the wavebird where it has to be on before loading the game?

Solved! The problem was me naming the game file 'game.iso'. I just needed to call it 'game' (checked the properties of the file and it said 'game.iso.iso')

I am experiencing random freezes. Sometimes while opening the door heading to mansion 2nd flor, other time while fitting the arrow tip
on the graveyard; sometimes examining an item. This makes the game unbeatable, cause you can't predict when it will freeze.

Do any of you experience this?

Yeah, Full Iso - each disk 1.35gb. I always load the games through usb, so I decided to try with a USB stick. Reriped my copy on a Wii and I still got freezes. It is
a problem similar to Superman Apokolips used to have... The game seems to work fine, but sudenly it freezes....

I'm at work so I can't test, I haven't updated Nintendont in a couple of weeks, and the compatibility list for some games hasn't been updated in some time. I'm curious, does Virtua Striker 4 work yet for anyone? I think I've seen in recent pages that Mario Kart GP 2 still doesn't work right, but I'm curious about the only other triforce game that wasn't yet working last I had tried.

-F-Zero AX runs fine, though I did get an error message at start one time but the other time it ran fine.
For me F-Zero AX is more miss than hit - usually it just throws error11 at me and it's impossible to return to HBC because controls aren't responding at all. Only power button on console works. Sometimes it shows error12 (wrong JVS configuration). It worked fine after controllers.zip update but not for long and it's semi-broken like that for at least 5-10 revisions. No such problems with GC games or MKAGP1.

P.S. PAL Wii w/4.3 firmware, GC controller.

Yeah i've experienced that in the past with that game but i thought it was just from meddling with compression. Have you checked your MD5 hashes on redump.org?

I moded Wii mode on my wii u and i deleted all files on my SD card adapter(microSD 2GB included) I can't load wads on homebrew channel.

Looks exactly like mine. I've had it freeze in a few more spots other than those but i thought it was compression causing it. The reason i say that is because i never experienced a freeze with the few times i tested with a 1:1 iso.

Maybe this can be looked into now? Looks like the game has random freezing regardless of being 1:1.
