I can confirm that the controller has analog triggers ZR/ZL and they are pressure sensitive. Luigi's mansion and Super Mario Sunshine work like a charm. Loving this remote more than I thought, I have to admit though it took me a while to get used to it's feel, but definitely worth it.
That sounds great! Thanks for testing.

For me both sega soccer slam ntsc and luigis mansion pal work just fine, tested both with and without memcard emu. Interstingly enough though I cant start prince of persia warrior within on my wii, not even from diosmios. So I think some games just dont want to work depending on some weird console difference.

I concur, I have three Wii systems that we use somewhat regularly. They behave different sometimes. My living room Wii works best, with my sons Wii working the worst. I've ripped my hair out so many times trying to solve minor issues that work fine on my living room Wii.

"Why are you missing patches of hair?"
"I was playing Wii Sports last night."

I am having an issue getting the codes for Luigi's Mansion working. I have the cheat txt file in the right place along with kenobiwii.bin in the SNEEK folder yet the codes from geckocodes.org don't work. I am trying to use the "Infinite Health" code. Both the game and cheat file is on the SD card.

Just played a few cups of MK:DD, a few races of F-Zero GX, 2 stages of Viewtiful Joe 2 and last but not least 10 stages of Smash Melee with Nintendont and the PDP Wii/Wii U Gamecube controller.

I can confirm it works wonderfully, with all homebrew I've tested it on so far, Nintendont and official games as well. Very nice.

Are the ZR and ZL analog?

EDIT: Jumped the gun, should have read further.

For Everything or Nothing US version, there is a "by-pass" method:

The game's ID is GENP69. I have created a text file "GENP69.txt" with the following cheats:

Code:
GENP69
James Bond 007 - Everything or Nothing

MI6 TRAINING COMPLETE
280101CE 00000008
024C2918 0000CA80
E2000001 80008000

Unlock/Complete Missions
280101CE 00000008
084C28F4 0000B000
10200012 00000000
E2000001 80008000

put the file into the codes subfolder of USB Loader GX and enabled the first one through USB Loader GX. Thus I could bypass the second mission (MI6 Training) and continue with the next one. The second cheat above also does the job as it unlocks all missions.

Thanks anyway but I'm now using the PAL UK version and that works 100%

So wary of 3rd party controllers - even authorised ones.. these ones feel ok though? Button's aren't clicky and cheap? Best 3rd party I had was a HoneyBee for my master system lol.. they've been downhill since then.. haven't found a decent one since.. oh Logitech Precision for Xbox was ok I guess..

Edit: talking about those new fancy GC controllers

Afraid I'm going to have to call BS, ZR/ZL on a classic controller can't be analog and I'm sure FIX94 can confirm there's no code in nintendon't to recognize them as anything but digital buttons. Only the L and R triggers can be analog.

Yeah feels pretty good it doesn't have that same soft click that official Nintendo controllers have and the buttons do feel a little harder like I'm going to have to break em in a bit but it doesn't feel cheap by any means. the analog sticks have a fluid rigidity to them but again I prefer how official Nintendo wavebird/GameCube controllers feel since I own a few myself. I kind a wanted this one for my Wii U and so that I have more controller options when 4 people come over for four player smash lol.

It's probably what he meant.

Update: If I launch anything through USBLoader GX on Nintendont they all black screen.
I'm using the latest of Nintendont and USBLoaderGX.

Every game just sits with all controllers having 4 lights on at a black screen.

After more searching I think USB Loader GX needs an update to work with 2.174 of Nintendont since it works on it's own but not using USB Loader GX

Hey guys! I just joined, but I have been following the progress of nintendont VERY closely, since the beginning when it was still crediar's baby. When he dropped the project I was a little worried but Ihave to extend a HUGE thanks to everyone involved in making this a reality and making it work so well. The lack of backwards compatibility is the one thing that put me off buying a wii u for the longest time - the system is clearly capable of it, it is only disabled due to nintendo greed IMO.
Anyhow, I installed it very recently and got a wii u pro controller and I'm loving it. Nearly Everything works perfectly as far as I can tell, and now with the knowledge that those new gcn styled classic controllers have analog triggers, I may just have to get one of those as well!

Just a couple of questions -

1. Bmx xxx seems to be okay on the compatibility list but my system crashes and does a code dump when I start that title. Any settings I should turn off for that specific title to get it to run?

2. More importantly - saves! A long time ago I had all my original gcn memory cards backed up and so I have all my saves in the gci format on my SD card. What is the easiest most trouble-free way of getting these saves to work with nintendont? Is there a folder I can drag them to or is there some sort of conversion that needs to be done?

It must be an issue on your end. Nintendont 2.174 and usb loader gx latest build from Cyan's signature (which is rev 1231 I think) works like it did -flawlessly- for me.

Hmm I updated within usbloadergx itself... it 1231 build Oct 14

Can you tell me your settings inside GX for nintendont and ill set mine as yours.

Usb loader gx rev 1231, nintendont 2.174 nunchuck mod (shouldn't do any differences) ios 250 d2x v10beta53 alt vwii, force 16/9, force progressive, memcard emulation on, hid off, language french, ntsc 480p, games stored on a 32gb usb drive, sandisk cruser glide.

Here's my settings in usb loader gx for Nintendont.

Video mode = Auto
Progressive = Off
Force Widescreen = Off
Debug = Off
Memory card Emulation = Individual
Block Size = 251
Auto Boot = ON (Have tried with off also)
USB-HID = Off
Controllers = 4
LED = Off
OSReport = Off
Log to file = Off

I have no options to set languages except for in the USB Loader GX settings area and not Nintendonts section.

Are your wii games still working?
You may want to manually download the latest beta from cyan signature maybe something got messed up in the internal update.

I'll grab his Sig version and see, i'll also set all to default and see.

Update:
I grabbed his sig version and reset all settings to default, changed gamecube mode to Nintendont and didn't touch anything else.

Same result, black screen and controllers stay on 4 leds.
I must reiterate that Nintendont works fine when launched from HBC or a forwarder.

I took autoboot off and now they load.....

I think from now on when something isn't working right we should also include what model Wii/Wii U we are using as there seems to be model specific issues here and there. Maybe also the different regions could also matter.

Okay I found out what My issue is, it's not any of the settings as Auto Boot now works and everything else.

It happens when I start USB Loader GX from it's forwarder channel.
Happens everytime, If I load USB Loader GX from HBC and boot a game everything is fine with all settings.
Forwarder kills nintendont
