USBLoaderGX is forcing some settings that are not accessible to users.
MaxPads set to 4
OSreports always enabled on wii

Would a future USBLGX revision also let us tamper with those Nintendont settings as well?
Keep in mind, this is not a priority request in any way shape or form, only one game out of 110+ in my GC collection requires Maxpads=1 to boot, if it stays at 4 it hangs at the logo screen. That game is Simpsons Hit & Run PAL and i can run it only from Nintendont loader. All others work from USBLGX perfectly.

It's weird.. I mean, I can see why it wouldn't work if nintendont is being picky and wants ONLY a "04" value, which would explain why it stops working if it becomes "14", but I think no one else has mentioned that kind of issue so far. I'll see if I can test it later if I find a game with a similar button combo. For now, the only workaround I can think is to remap the "B button" to 6,06, since that should be an unused shoulder button that uses a different offset.

Edit: You can try using 4 instead of 04, but i'm not sure if that would work.
I'm using a ps3 controller now and it works perfectly. Guess ps4 is too advanced lol.

I was about to ask if your controller might be damaged because of all that flickering between values that's seen on the video. But I can't be sure really, I'm glad you had a different controller to try and that it worked for you.

yes, I plan to add the remaining settings (Pads, OS, LED. I will probably leave Log setting out, if users want to debug, I guess they can use nintendont).
It's easy to add but wasn't an important feature so it's not there yet.

Hey guys I'm using logitech dual action controller. The hidtest recognizes the controller and the right value changes when i press the corresponding button. I am missing multiIn value and cant tell how to get it and also when i run the game, the game doesnt respond to the controller. i placed the controller.ini on the root of the sd card and the game.iso in games folder. The game runs perfectly fine. i tried 2 different games, none is reacting to the buttons.
thnx for any help

Are you sure that you need the MultiIn value? if the controller.ini is fine, maybe you should make sure that HID is enabled before running the game. Because if HIDTest detects the controller, then I would guess it should work in nintendont as well if the setting is enabled.

That might be the step ive missed. Where can i edit the settings to enable HID? ^^

Help! How do I get cheats to work? I downloaded the stuff and made a file called "seek", putting the .bin file in it.
I want to hack Wind Waker and get the Moon Jump cheat.

If you load nintendont from the HBC, you can press the B button to show the settings and change it there, then press it again to go back to the game list. If you use a loader, it should be somewhere in the settings for GC games.

Ha, sorry. I meant to say sneek. So how do I do it?

You need to create a folder inside of Games named as the GameID of the game you want to use (in this case WindWaker) and then put the GameID.gct file in there. Finally, enable the Cheats option in nintendont settings.

full example for cheatcodes:

/sneek/kenobiwii.bin
/games/GZLE01/game.iso
/games/GZLE01/GZLE01.gct
Then in nintendont, enable Cheat code setting.

OR

/sneek/kenobiwii.bin
/games/Zelda wind Waker/game.iso
/games/GZLE01/GZLE01.gct
Then in nintendont, enable Cheat code setting.

OR

/sneek/kenobiwii.bin
/games/Zelda wind waker [GZLE01]/game.iso
SD:/txtcodes/GZLE01.txt <---- downloaded by the USBLoader
SD:/codes/GZLE01.gct <---- generated by the USBLoader
- When using USBLoaders, you can put cheatcodes in any folders, as long as your USBLoader see it and send it to nintendont.
- In your Loader, download the cheat list, it will be saved as GameID.txt in the loader's defined folder for .txt files.
- Then select the codes you want to enable and generate the gct file, it will be saved as GameID.gct in the loader's defined folder for .gct files.
- Then enable Ocarina setting in your loader and launch the game.

In all 3 cases:
The sneek folder and the games folder need to be on the same partition.
If your games are on USB, put /sneek/ on USB too.

USBLoaderGX automatically copy Kenobiwii.bin and the gct to the game's partition if they are on another partition. (if you put controller.ini, cheat path and kenobi files on SD while games are on USB, it will copy files to USB)
I don't know what other loaders are doing.

The error messages for controllers are pretty spot-on. Assuming the Wii is laying down, are you sure the controller is plugged in the top usb port on the back?

Can you get Nintendont to work with gamecube ports on the top of your wii?

Yeah, my PS4 controller was plugged in the top USB port, but that would be the left USB port if it is laying down right? Also how could I turn on my PS4 Controller? I tried pressing the PS button but the nothing happened.

you press the ps button after the game has been booted

Only thing is that the game didn't boot, it just said to plug the controller into the top usb. Would I have to plug in my controller before I start the app? Or should I have it plugged in before I turn on the Wii?

Before you run the app should be enough. But you should make sure it is the top port, it sounds pretty silly but, you don't have the wii upside-down do you? I mean, the "Wii" logo can be seen correctly on the right side, right?.
