Or a google translate issue...
I tried in french and the sentence with "which" is well translated and the one with "what" gives sometime a weird translation...
Well... For nintendont I'm really impressed by the amount of improvements in 2 days.
But it will be hard to check that everything work as fine as with the previous release with each games.

For the controllers, could it be possible to had BT support ? I saw in the devo readme that tueidj used the lwbt stack.
But, I don't understand how devo can be 370ko and nintendont 450 with all the features it has...

The nintendont loader has more in it because nintendont works differently, so I guess that makes up most of the size. Also, we have 2 kernels for sd and usb, doubling the size.

also, i noticed that transitions take a lot longer than they did before on r79. like after selecting characters and pressing start, there is quite a noticeable delay in loading the next screen.
If you're using a slow SD card then yes, the changes in v1.31 make loading a bit slower, Melee's not the only one affected I noticed it in a few others too like Sonic Riders; mostly when selecting a char. it takes unusually long for the model to appear on screen vs. v1.30, and characters with long voice lines when you select them there's a temporary audio hang not present in v1.30 and using the cache feature doesn't make a difference. This shouldn't happen if you're using an hdd.

I can agree with the last correction, however, features are something the app has, not that it supports. So in any case it should be "What features does Nintendont have?", same for the other, have instead of support. However, I also agree with the_randomizer, who cares about wording there? People care about the answer to those questions more than the questions.

I was agreeing that the grammar is a little off, "Which features has Nintendont" isn't grammatically correct, that's all :P For native English speakers, it's a little awkward, it's trivial though :D

Ok so after several tries, I got MCEmu and Cheats to work with Smash Bros. Melee.
Perhaps it was a saving bug or such with the game, but for Shadow The Hedgehog the problem still persists, with cheats enabled I have problems saving.

Out of that, I would like to know:
Since cache.txt files are using to call certain files directly from the iso (as far as I understand), then...
Could we use a cache.txt to call directly roms or the files required for Collection games like Zelda, Megaman, etc and see if that helps?
I got"An error occurred, please refer to the instruction manual" with Sonic Gems Collection and I think one of the Zelda games.

I might be wrong, but at least won't hurt to verify if this could help with those games.

We should add the following:

"1) Nintendon't has this (So don't post about it)
2) Nintendon't WILL have this (so don't complain about when it will come out, be patient)
3) Nintendon't WON'T have this (so stop asking about those features)"

Sounds good :D

No, Sonic Gems Collection has a .dol for each of the three ports. We have to wait until multi. dol loading(in-game .dol loading) gets implemented. I don't know about Zelda but it's probably also a .dol for the n64 emulator. Other collection games work because their emulator is part of main.dol

The cache may store the .dols but there is no code in Nintendont to load them.

Are cheats even needed at this point? For SSBM they were useful because you couldn't save, but now that it works, I don't see the point. But it might be just me, I don't like playing with cheats.

Anyways, I've managed to create a cache.txt for Twilight Princess, using mostly the files that I saw were loaded everytime you move to another area (Link/Wolf and Midna models, different clothes and Shields, backgrounds, I think the first file is for the camera adjustment after it loads, some screens in the inventory and the full map; and some bgm files because there were just a few of those, most of the music files i ignored because they'd take too much space on memory..) There are also a few others that might or might not be useful but since they were loaded almost in every area I visited, I included them. This was done with a end-game save, so there might be things that are or aren't loaded earlier in the game, I'll probably test it later.

Finally, the most important files are STG_00.arc and a bunch of R_XX_00.arc files that are separated in different folders inside Stage (for example, F_SP121 and D_MN10, each corresponding to a different area). This time I'm following what VinsCool said about using only the filenames without the folders, but i'm a bit skeptical about it working here... TV is being used right now so I'll test later or tomorrow to be sure, in the worst case I'd have to see which files are loaded in the slowest areas and cache only those because there are too many of them.

If anyone wants to test it in the mean time and check if it's still slow when moving between areas, please do so. If there's no change, then it's most likely to be caused for the missing "folder structure" for each file.

I tried what zombieman said about filenames, and aparently, it works, because in my own cache.txt in windwaker, most files are loaded in different folders, and it loads the cache. It takes half a minute to load cache, and actors, loading, and title screen is faster too. Example, if I save and chose to return to title screen, it takes less than 2 seconds, from my sd card, to reload the title screen. So I am guessing that filenames only, WITHOUT file path written in cache.txt, is working :)

Would not it possible to add a feature do nintendont which writes files loaded in a txt file ?
Then we will have just to see which files are often loader?

PS:with the lastest rev 43 settings are not saved .
Here is a cache for Super Mario Sunshine
It's not working for me. Black screen after it shows that it is caching on 1.38

Is super mario sunshine even compatible with 1.38? I decided to go with this instead of the latest one as I heard that the more recent ones have lost compatibility with some games.

try the game without cache.txt and see if it will work, I also get the black screen after it loads the cache with it and i'm using 1.43 works fine without it

Edit: I think the cache.txt is over the limit of what nintendont can cache
Edit 2: I mean the file size limit of about 29MB that fix94 was talking about

Yes sorry i didn't test it ><.
But i tested this one and it works : (in the old one there was a blank line )
Don't be sorry. You were trying to do something for the best of the community and you took your time to figure out which files to cache. I thank you for doing so and I will test this soon!

Where are the Memory Card files located if I am playing through a USB?

EDIT: Nevermind, found them in USB:/saves/

I am trying to pass some of my gci/gcs files to the RAW format used in Nintendon't but I can't find a way to do it. Can anyone tell me how to do that? Do I have to do it through Dolphin?

Also, I will try to put manually a memory card for the games that do not create it nor detect it just to see what happens. (Chaos Theory and Pokemon Colosseum i.e.)

Approximately how long does it take for you to cache the files? I waited about a minute and it was still caching. Going to remove files for the later levels and see if that works.

Cut out a few files and now it gets past the caching on the menu, but it now goes to a black screen on start. Not sure if the game itself isn't compatible with 1.38. Will test that now.
