Hey guys!

I've been monitoring Nintendont's development for some time now, and want to know what sort of assistance I could give.

I'd be interested in helping with the coding portion, as I have a little bit of experience with C, and C++, but I'm just asking where to start with all this.

Tested the new version 1.0 and I picked Shadow The Hedgehog since it worked fine before but now sound is all messed up, went back to the older version and it works fine now, just thought to report this, again I don't mean to be bitching!

Eternal Darkness (PAL) now boots fine on a normal Wii, MCEmu Works, but the games freeze when you are about to control the protagonist.

I'm sad.

I have also tested Starfox Adventures (PAL) and againt it boots fine, but freeze when starting new game.

If you want to test games you should use the latest version (1.0 isn't the latest, it's just the first of the new project, that's why it's linked in the first post). Shadow may not work in the latest version either but even so, reports should be done on the latest version.

Edit: sonictopfan I just re-read your post and saw you mentioned the issue was the sound being messed up.. Obviously you've been away from the project long enough to miss the fact that 1.00 had the DSP patches removed; a couple of revs later the sound was back through a different approach. So yeah, use the latest version.

I don't mean to offend you, but you should try to check your spelling and grammar so your posts are easier to understand.. English probably isn't your first language, and it's not mine either, but when you're in an english forum, you've got to put some effort.

Now, back on topic, people should probably wait until crediar says "Triforce games can now be run" instead of making a fuss over one commit... Even so, it's already confirmed that it will be possible.

As for the file cache, crediar already linked to an example of a cache for SSBM a couple of pages back. There aren't details on how to decide which files to add in a cache.txt file, but some filenames or even the folder names can be hints on what kind of files they are; but if you don't want to guess and test a lot, then forget about file caching until it's been further explained.

I can understand all the hype about running games faster and all, but most games already run at really good speeds so there shouldn't be such a hurry to make the cache files.

Can anyone please tell me how I can update my Wii from ios58 24.31 to 24.32 , I cannot use nintendont without it

Use NUSDownloader to get the latest ios58, and pack it as wad. Copy it to an sd or usb, and then use a Wad installer to install it.. I used WiiMod, but I don't remember if i had to do a bit of digging to find a version compatible with my wiimote plus.

Wow Eternal Darkness boots now?
That is certainly quite an improvement O.O
Maybe including the "define AUDIOSTREAM" in the code made that possible, but my bet is that the audiostreaming code might need some work before we can get Eternal Darkness to work properly.

I am really happy to see how this project has been advancing with every day.
This is now becoming my predefined loader, and is now overthrowing some other "unnamed app" that boots NGC games, since that one doesn't have the options Nintendon't has, and not even mention the cheat code option. :)

I tried to put font_ansi. Bin to the root of both my SD and USB so I can try and play Mario Kart GP 2. So far, I can't it to load for me. So I decided to try another game that usually crashes to see if Font_ans.bin help at all with other games. I did got and see Need For Speed Most Wanted to boot up and see it's logo at boot and then freeze afterwards. I also try and get NBA Street V3 to work with that file I'm, but still crashes at 2nd star at the loading screen.

IDK if font_ansi.bin did any help for NFS Most Wanted, I think it is a fluke. But I do know MC Emu is the cause I the crash at logo boot because I turn it off and it was starting to load the game after that. I didn't fully test it after that because I had to head in for work. Anyone else want to try out if NFS Most Wanted really need font_ansi. Bin to get it to start up and if the game can fully run without MC Emu.

I'm using Wiiflow to load nintendont and am able to get fire emblem to load. Then I get the warning message "there is no memory card in slot a". I know this project uses the sd card to save. So if I play the game will I be able to save when the time comes to the sd card? Or is mcemu supposed to allow this sort of message not to appear? And if so what am I doing wrong?

PS: I'm using the latest nintendont build.

U need to go to The game of choice and pick settings on there and select NMM to enable. This is MC Emu for Nintendont. Plus the game saves to whatever device u r using to run that game. If the game is on the SD CARD, the game save will be in SD:/saves/<gameid>.raw. Same with USB with USB:/<game>.raw

Oh I thought version 1.0 IS the latest version, I looked in the first page and I couldn't find it, any link for the latest version so I could test that? also does it have the DSP removed too?

First post.. Third line says link to latest open source version. And in the post you quoted i said the sound was fixed not long after it was first removed

I can confirm Sonic Mega Collection works now because of the ipl.bin, that's why it froze loading the save file because there was no font. The Genesis games (like Gems Collection) are mute though.

Going into the Z button menu freezes the currently loaded game but lets you quit nonetheless.

At least now we know that font_ansi.bin or ipl.bin were the key thing that those games need to run old games like Sonic Gems Collection and maybe Midway Collection.

is the Wii remote classic controller supported yet? or is they plans to support it in the future?
and is they plans to support the Xbox 360 controller?
