That's why I'm telling you... if you have a loader.dol in "root:/usb-loader/" then it's not the same as "apps/nintendont/boot.dol" so rename the boot.dol to "r50.dol" and copy/paste the loader.dol in nintendont, rename it to boot.dol and load it from HBC, then check the build date AND if it shows SSBM
autoboots on SSBM only! :D

cfg usb loader will just search for the boot.dol in /root/app/Nintendont/ if it doesn't detect it in /root/usb-loader/

No games will boot with Nintendont if it can't detect either. I have tried it.

You probably have a bad rip of the game because Sunshine should boot (but freeze during cutscenes)
i forgot to edit my post, Super Mario Sunshine and F-ZERO GX are apart. But anyway; F-ZERO GX works?

and i've done the r50.dol and runs directly to SSBM.. but on next revision shall detect it on select game.

Edit: Uh.. Oh... r50.dol SSBM freezes on HAL Laboratory logo, or it's me?

Please, TRY to make your replies longer and more detailed.. I'll try and guess you're trying to say this: "Yes, there was a loader.dol so I did as you said and when I launched it from the HBC it autobooted on SSBM without showing the menu", am I right? If so, try deleting the nincfg.bin that was created on your sd root (and hdd as well, probably) and then try loading nintendont from the HBC once more.

Edit: I think when autoboot is enabled in a usbloader (loader gx, cfg, etc) the setting (and the game associated to it) is saved in the nincfg.bin, that's why when you try to load nintendont from HBC after you've done this, it will autoboot the last game you loaded from the usbloader.. Can you test if this is the case, Adeka?

I'm playing via Configurable USB Loader, but not on Nintendont neither erasing nincfg nor r50.dol. that's it. For me that's enough atm.

i have used a rip of my melee 1.01 disc using cleanrip and a melee 1.02 iso i found online. both have worked from usb using usb loaders and nintendont's loader with the latest dol, meta.xml, and icon.png from trunk. your problem does sound very unique so it may have to do with a bad rip since you don't have a wii to use cleanrip. i'm pretty sure that not all computer disc drives can rip gamecube discs correctly as well.

Adeka melee gameplay has been working for a while now except sound was garbled, but recently they patched the dsp so sound now works as well. memory card emulation is still a problem, but one doesn't really need a memory card to play melee.

Fine, whatever.. If you were gonna just go with that workaround instead of trying to fix your problem you should have said so, and saved me the trouble. There was no need to rename the boot.dol if you're just using CFG, it will still use the loader.dol in its folder and ignore nintendont's folder. Now you won't be able to load it from HBC until you rename it to boot.dol again

Melee was freezing in the earlier revisions and I never heard of it getting its compatibility fixed. The only game that was posted to have it's compatibility fixed was Luigi's Mansion.

There's some minor issues on SSBM (maybe that happens on another game):

-Loading are a little bit "slower"
-Entering Select Character/Select Stage controller lags at the beginning
-Freezes not often anymore, but freezes once of many times on "Now loading" or loading menus, select character, select stage, event match, classic, adventure, intro, cutscenes, etc; and all of this, SSBM are playable 93% (compared to old(est) revisions)
-MCEmu shall be fixed (at the moment there's no worries 'cause i could use kenobiwin [SD:/sneek/kenobiwin.bin to load cheats] (in my case i'm loading debug menu)
-and PS3 controller SUCKS! I rather Gamecube controller overall to play SSBM SERIOUSLY!!!! ;) :yayps3:

Your feedback would be much better if you could tell for sure that you're using r50. Since you're using the loader.dol that was in cfg folder, did you put that file there yourself or did you use the update feature in cfg? If it just so happened to be there from before maybe it's not the latest rev, so i want you to be sure.

Can anybody tell me the build where real memory card support stopped working?

I can't tell you when it was broken, but surely someone posted in this thread when they discovered they couldn't save anymore, I have free time now so I'll do a search and post if i find anything that helps tracking down the rev

Adeka my experience with the freezing in melee was always because of the autosaving (trying to use the mcemu) that happens frequently at the menu. so at the beginning when it asks me if i want to save the game data, i say 'no' and that will usually prevent it from constantly trying to access the memory card. has your experience been different? like i said before, i used it at smashfests for many hours without any freezes so it seems pretty stable for me so far. i don't really use melee for one player, so i can't attest to how stable it is with that, but with versus mode, it's been working great for me.

I wish i could play with you if Nintendont could have Netplay or Kaillera; and then, we could play together... lol

JuanLeOnardO ya, it's fun to play with a variety of players. i wish i had a computer capable of running dolphin on full speed with netplay, but sadly, i don't. so i'm just left with playing on nintendont for now :-p. glad you got things kinda working on your end!

my laptop or pc runs slow and crashes on Dolphin due graphics card and CPU :c

I have Nintendont with SSBM playable at 94%, there are many things to be fixed this game... i'll try kenobiwin to use cheats

I just tested r13 and it says " The device inserted in Slot A is not a Memory Card"

Did Real Memory Cards ever work?

I've read a few posts that talked about memory card's and it seems there was never support for Real Memory Cards; these are the most relevant posts I read about this:

SuperrSonic: "Real memory cards are not working at all, inserted or not games always say there is an invalid or wrong device inserted and you will still get random freezes with mcemu disabled."
Cyan: "yeah, real gamecube card are not supported :( I had to use GCMM1.4b to extract my saves to .gci then used Dolphin's Memcard management tool to inject .gci into Nintendont's Memcard.raw"
Crediar: "Since the EXI register are on a different range all the EXI functions need patching to work with a real memory card and if the patching isn't perfect you might end up with a corrupted memory card."

(I thought i had read some more, but I can't find them, if I do I'll add them later)

As for memory card emulation, I think up to r35 there were games that could save with mcemu, but I'll check to be sure.

Edit: well, I can't be sure sadly as it seems there were always issues with saves on some games, but it seems the best bet are the revs around february, before the usb version was leaked.. rev33-38 maybe? If my wii worked I'd test each of them to try and save/load, but I can't. Well, actually testing 33 would be enough to know, if it didn't work at that point, then it wouldn't work on all the following revs, so the problem would have been introduced earlier than that.
