Input related issues also happen with a regular GC controller and launching a game with a Wavebird off and turning it on when the game has booted causes the controller to be undetected.

Could you please help me? I have the following problem: The nintendont simply does not run on my Wii ... When I start a game, the TV reports no signal (I tested using the r49). When taking my SD Card and put in my friend's Wii, the game simply ran. SysCheck used in his Wii to be able to update my Wii CIOS and even doing that did not work. Could you help me find a solution? I have many Gamecube games here, and it would be good to increase the compatibility list.

If you bothered reading some posts, you'd see that if that happens you're SOL because your Wii isn't supported. Either buy a new Wii or wait until the devs can fix the root cause of the error (I wouldn't hold my breath because you'd be holding it for too long and end up suffocating)

Oi laddie, bloke's first post, he's not English, and this topic is now 180 pages long, give him a break.....

enable Gamecube games in the source menu (4th icon in the top menu).

Use 1218_mod06 if you are using nintendont r42+
There are some issues with r42+
You can use r39 instead

Thanks for updating.
I tested this mod today using nintendont r48.
games on usb launch fine
games on sd codedump

using old white wii and gc controller

P.S> using wiiflow nintendont always codedumps and doesn't even autoboot the game

Edit: tested rev49 and games are booting now from sd after displaying a weird error
here's the error screen:

Well, that's weird. I have the same problem, but my Wii is one of the ones that has GC ports, so it kinda confuses me as to why my Wii wouldn't be supported.

As was said, if you had read a few of the last pages you'd have seen this was mentioned before.. after reading your syscheck i can only say that you should update your HBC, and that you have Hollywood v0x21 which may or may not be related to the error at all, but so far everyone that had that error had also that new revision. There's no solution to this yet, and it's hard to say if it there will be one someday, so you shouldn't really hold your breath.

However, your friend's syscheck has the previous Hollywood, so it gives more reason to believe that's the culprit here.. but it's all a simply conjecture based on circunstantial evidence, so let's leave it there for now.

Oi laddie, bloke's first post, he's not English, and this topic is now 180 pages long, give him a break.....

There are plenty of search terms he could use, you don't need to be english to know about forum rules and how use them to get the best results; and instead of reading 180 pages, read the last 10 and he'd surely find a post about that error, it's been mentioned several times.

I'll agree though, that it should be added on the first post as a warning: "If you lose signal when trying to load a game, stop, it won't work with any game and the cause is yet unknown."

Well, that's weird. I have the same problem, but my Wii is one of the ones that has GC ports, so it kinda confuses me as to why my Wii wouldn't be supported.

Run a syscheck and look at your Hollywood revision, it's on the first lines. Someone hinted at v0x21 being related to the error, but it's neither confirmed nor denied so you shouldn't wait for a quick fix for that issue, there are many of us in the same boat, both with non-gc wii and the classic wii you have.

It seems that the -1 error (with blank screen just after selecting a game) could be related to the hollywood chip version (0x11 works, while 0x21 doesn't), but it's not confirmed even if all users (including me) with this kind of error had reported to have the v0x21.
This apply only to the Wii (with or without GC ports), not to WiiU.

Edit: faku1810 already answered while I was writing my post. I type very slowly on my tablet virtual keyboard .

Hmm, i wonder which GBAtemper uses the dev. name Howard M Busch.

I just ran a search on this thread to take a loot at the syscheck that have been posted so far and compare them, it seems there's a user named Howard that was the first to suggest the Hollywood rev as being the cause for the video signal lose. I'd guess he's the one that submitted that rev48.

Edit: Is it me or rev49 just added a language selector?

did you not read the notes for r49? Thats all that was added.

ok so i got the fat device error out by re-formating my flash drive to fat 32, with default cluster size, and no quick format.
But now when i go to nintendont on hombrew or use usb loader gx or cfg loader it doesnt let me choose usb or sd on nintendont(from hombre) all i get is this 1 second prompt that i cant read , then it goes to a black screen forever i wait a long time for something to happen and it doesnt any clue?

same thing happens to be but it's no big deal. Just delete all the files that Nintendont creates from the root of your sd/usb

I did, it was just a manner of speaking, because it was kinda surprising as I thought that would have to wait a lot more before being added.

Delete the nincfg file in your SD root and HDD root if it exists.

Video signal may be an issue, are you using composite cables (RED, YELLOW, WHITE) or component cables (BLUE, GREEN, RED, YELLOW, WHITE)?

Interestingly enough r49 was from crediar

good to see he still is helping on this project

yeah i really hope he finds inspiration to continue with his dropped project after seeing the comunity trying his best to finish it.
