Really? Is this the case with most wii/wiiu apps? There's a few I have that have no meta's. Good thing to know.

Hmm, I wonder if someone could add a feature where you put controller.ini files into one folder and nintendont will autodetect which controller is plugged in and load that ini... this could reduce hid problems...
I would figure that hypothetically someone could actually parse the report descriptors to figure out what's what.

did you rename loaderusb.dol to boot.dol?
This is why this needs a new thread with an updated first post that you can download the most up to date version from.

edit: the meta is just the app info that you see in homebrew channel and icon.png is just the logo.

I already know that, but as the others said, for this app I need the meta xml. But are there any other necessary files other than the dol and meta xml? Because I tried copying a game to my sd, it showed up. But when I ran it it didn't start up. It was just a blank screen...

Have you checked the compatibility list for working games? I have updated a lot of the games myself

Im not sure what port you need to use on the Wii (it says somewhere in this huge thread) but rest assured, one of them works.
How did you set up the file structure in the /games folder at root?

use port0
bottom/near the edge on Wii
Upper/inner side on WiiU.

I tested only Wii/port0. But I guess WiiU is also using port0
I don't know what happens if you have both ports connected, as IOS58 favored port1 on wii. just try to switch the ports to find the working setup.

I added more information to first post.
(updating IOS58, USB support, added controller.ini step in install guide)

currently, there are two different files (one for games on SD, one for games on USB), using the same DSP patches/fixes.
in the future, there might be only one file to launch both SD/USB games.

game compatibility is maybe different on SD and USB. users need to test and confirm the differences.

the merging in r39 is maybe not correctly working, it's still looking at SD files when launching USB games.
it will be fixed in next revisions.

for example:
1- in a USBloader, Select a game to autoboot on USB. Write nincfg.bin to USB.
2- launch loaderusb.dol, which reads nincfg.bin on SD?
3- Logs says "Autobooting (sd)/games/last launched game on SD/game.iso"
4- loaderusb correctly launches selected game from USB

When can I expect a new revision? Its took nearly a month to update from r38 to r39.

Thanks for the explanation! :D
