-3 controller not recognized .
Go to the google page download the correct file for your controller . Rename it to controller.ini
Make sure it is plugged in when you start Nintendont .

Thanks.
I unplugged the USB hub I had connected and the -3 stopped but now its stuck at 4 again.
I will plug in a PS3 controller and see how that goes. I had the WiiUPro controller connected via USB and that INI so thats probably the problem.

I would like to see other controllers supported and even better without USB connected as I'm not in the same room as the console, using the WiiU screen to try this out.

-1: Kernel failed to load
-3: HID init failed

0: ES init failed
1: SD init failed
2: FAT init failed
3: CFG init failed
4: HID init failed
5: DI init failed
6: CARD init failed (It will wait here while creating a new memory card)

Press the ps button before you start Nintendont

Thanks that did it, I connected the PS3 controller and used the PS3.ini and now it works. Now to find out why its crashing back to WiiU and no memory card working. It just says there is no memory card and retry, no option to format.
Could be the games I'm trying, maybe its other factors but at least its working now.
Games I'm trying are Second Sight and True Crime New York.
Guess I just have to wait for more compatibility.

Look at the compatibility list we need some help finding all the DSP which can found on your SD card the game has been started . And yes you need to test a known working game like Zelda WW .

Well I got past the memory card error. In Settings I turned on Memory Card Emulation and now it works.
But when I try to load up the level it black screens.
That was Second Sight. Gets into menu, save works but doesn't get into the game, only the start menu and settings.
True Crime New York didn't get into the game at all. Crashed before the start menu. Will try that one again later.

The compatibility list needs to be updated
I read in previous posts that you want to update the dsp list. How do i achieve this? I got a decent broadband connection, spare time and willingness to contribute; If you give me some insight as to how to update the compatibility list i will finish in a day or two.

First, read the first post to know how to install Nintendont.
Try with a known working game, like Zelda Wind Waker.

You can launch games using Nintendont or an external loader (USBLoaderGX 1218 mod1, or latest Wiiflow).

When you launch a game, it creates a log file on your SD card sd:/ndebug.log
inside you have informations on the patches used, detected DSP, etc.

Yes sir we need all the Wii guys to help submit the dsp versions . Really need to post this in the Wii hacking section anyways to let more people help.
Just follow cyans post and update the list

Just FWI if you plan on fixing the dsp versions...

Only do 5 games then get the dsp versions of them off the log file. I tried doing 20 at a time and that resulted in all my dsps being inaccurate on the list. I just don't feel like fixing them

Also for anybody who wants to fix them in Nintendont, aim for fixing dspv2-4. That would fix 80% of the sound issues

A small suggestion for testers can be easily capture/read the DSP version of a game from the ndebug.log.

( line 1233 of patch.c)

dbgprintf("Patch:[DSPROM]%08x DSPv%u\n", read32(0),Known );

The output(in the ndebug.log) will be something like:

Patch:[DSPROM]474d3445 DSPv5

** 474d3445 = GM4E (Mario Kart Double Dash)

I made a tool to scan ISOs for their DSP versions http://crediar.no-ip.com/dspscan.rar
You probably need to install the VS2013 redist to use it.

I gave it to Maxternal on IRC hoping he would post or use it but I guess he didn't?
Thanks Crediar. Releasing and still helping out. Everyone works differently but to me you are a great example for a "good dev." I may begin trying this soon. There are a few GC games I want to look at (like Rogue Squadron).

On monday or tuesday I will fix all the dsp versions of all the games I tested (over half the compatibility list)

Edit: Actually i'll do it now because I don't have anything else to do
