Maybe we could make list "working"/not "working" controllers because some dev could fix this problem - there is few files on project page that is refered to hid...

I don't think it's a controller problem. PS3 works fine with Alpha version.
I guess all USB controllers have the same problem. It's probably something in the code.

I tried to make it run on WiiU, I undefined DEBUG and it's going a little further, but now it crash in code dump before loading main.dol
problem is in loader.c, near the app_init(dummy);

You need to chill out on the multiple posts, man. If you have something to say, hit the edit button or take it to IRC.

there is a controles ini for wiiU gamepad? or wii mote? because i have a usb control but it seems to have so much problem, plus i'm from chile and i'll never find a gc to usb port, and neither i'll buy a ps3 control... and i'm looking forward this because i'm still in love with gamecube, i'm hoping to play sonic heroes, pacman world 2, billy hatcher and etc
btw i tried with spyro enter the dragonfly and i had a stack dump...

controller.ini is for USB controllers only. Not wireless.
Nintendont works only with USB-HID, which is a USB controller's specification, if the manufacturer used a HID compliant communication interface it will work with Nintendont. If not (like Microsoft's Xbox controller), it will not work.

It's not only PS3 or GCtoUSB, it can be a cheap controller too.
If you have an USB controller, try it with the HID_test.dol to see if it's detected as a HID compliant controller.

well for christmas i'll have to test it because my father hide it until christmas
also i have a.. xbox 360 style pc control... i hope it works but i'm afraid that the right stick wont work as a c-stick, since is works like to do the functions of the left, right triggers and so.

i have delete the old config file, but on my wii i can't start zelda windwaker with latest nintendont, only -1 kernel error, who can helpme? who have try to change some code ? exist a mod of nintendont?

The compatibility list is gone!

I do hope the next game to work with Nintendont will be STARFOX ADVENTURES, it is the "classic" of GC, with AUDIO STREAMING, then the next will be CRAZY TAXI, also with audio streaming.

Thank you Crediar for keeping up the good work!

only games i really would like to get running is zelda and the resident evil titles... then finaly i could trade my old wii with a psvita -.-

Is anyone willing to upload they're boot.dol, and whatever cfg files they have on there sd root?

On my wii u, im able to use my ps3 controller during the hid app, it registers when buttons are pressed.

I have windwaker on my sd card, it shows up in the game list. But when i select the game, it says its loading, and it just sits there.

The only thing i can do, is press select on my ps3 controller, and it resets my wii u.

So please, could someone upload they're working files so i can try this out? Ive tried so many different boot.dol's, deleting cfgs from the sd card. Please, it would really help me out, and others as well.

Thank you!

the new version (r5) doesn't work on WiiU.
only the Alpha v0.1 is working.

But if you want to play Zelda US, it's fine :)
Just look at the first post, there's a link to the Alpha version.

OK, I obtained the Alpha 0.1 version.

My SD card contains the following..

ROOT
------
controller_ps3 ;renamed to "controller"
credits
license_libogc
nin_cfg
README by DRAGMARE
README

FOLDERS WITHIN SD CARD
-------------------------------
sd:/apps/hidtest/boot.dol
sd:/apps/nintendont/boot.dol_icon_meta
sd:/games/zelda/game

Now, I have a 1TB Western Digital USB HDD connected to the back of my Wii U, the port closest towards the center of the console. I have not tried this with my usb hdd disconnected. It does have a games folder within the root of the usb hdd, but none of my games pops up within the nintendont list.

I have my PS3 Dualshock 3 connected to my Wii U's front USB port, the port closest to the SD card slot.

I run nintendont, and it finds my iso of windwaker, I press A and the number cycles from 1 all the way to 6, and it begins to load.

I am now finally presented with the Nintendo logo, asking if I want progressive mode.

Here is my report on what happened when I booted windwaker.

The SD card I have in the Wii U, is the stock 2gb SD card from my 3DS, it's a Toshiba. IDK what type of class it is/the read/write speed, I don't know what it is.

The title screen appears, and im able to get to the registration screen. It notices I have no memory card, wants to format, so I let those things happen. Now, with the music still playing in the background, the music gets horrificly slow/stutter, idk if this is due to the type of SD card I have, so it takes awhile for the creation/formation to happen.

Once it completed, I was able to write my name in the quest 1 file. When I selected it, the screen went black, and it just sat there for 5 minutes.

I pressed select and the Wii U rebooted.

I then reloaded nintendont, reloaded windwaker, this time it did not ask to format my memory card, all I had to do was to re-write my username in the quest 1 file.

Once I selected my quest 1 file, the story mode actualy began to play. During the story, I would get random spots throughout with loud audio distortion.

When the story ended I was able to talk to my sister, and then to the point where actual gameplay kicks in.

It was at that point where I pressed square on my PS3 controller (A for GC) the game froze.

So I had to reboot the Wii U again, create my name again. And when it came to gameplay again, I pressed start, and I was able to save my progress. Also, while the game is saving, I experience, again, horrific slowdown and audio gitteryness.

Right now the game has been running for over half an hour, with gameplay working with no issues. Obtained the telescope, sword, talk to various people, etc.

So I'd like to know 3 things.

1. Has anyone else encountered the audio/slowdown issues I've had, during story, saving, etc?
2. Is there a build of nintendont for the Wii U, that allows you to load other GC titles other than WindWaker?
3. Are you able to load GC iso's from the USB instead of the SD card?

Thank You!
