not only the german version works perfectly so does the actual pal version aparently only the ntsc version of everything or nothing shuts down the console when doing the second mission and so on.

so anyone who wants to play this game in english get the pal version, im on the 5 mission with no issues.
I can't find a PAL english one anywhere though haha

I just tried out Super Mario Sunshine and gameplay is all good, but the cutscenes lag like hell. I don't see anything on the compatibility list for this game either.

You must have a slow SD or USB device. The game cutscenes always worked fine for me.

Huh. I'm running it off a Class 3 8GB SanDisk SDHC.
SDs are known for having high loading times and lag with games if not formatted properly.
It is always recommended to try using a USB for better results.

VinsCool, sonictopfan have you guys tried Sonic Gems Collection? Sonic CD specifically with the latest build?

I don't have this game so i can't test sonic CD sorry :(

I don't know about Wii U (if they're anything like the PS3 then I can see why WD products don't like them, I noticed Buffalo products are good on PS3) but from my experience on regular Wii WD products are by far the best especially if you do the update, they hardly cause any issues and I been using them for 3 years now, all my gaming is with my Wii and I'm happy to say that they run fine!

Sorry but I have to disagree with what skull87 said about WD drives. I have a MyPassport 500 GB HDD since 2011, sill works like a charm on Wii and on Wii U. His claims that they are garbage are unfounded. Seagate and Toshiba drives are pretty unreliable. I don't know where he got that silly notion from.

Has Nintendont updated the Widescreen hack like Devolution did? Last time I checked Mario Kart Double Dash and Animal Crossing didn't work with the widescreen hack.

I mean they work when the widescreen hack is on, they aren't in widescreen though. They're still the regular 4:3 aspect ratio.
This sounds like the problem is isolated to you then because the game is in widescreen when the hack is enabled.

I hope so, I'd love to play both these games in widescreen without having to deal with devolution. I'm not sure what the problem could be though.

I just tried Animal Crossing (USA) and Double Dash (USA) on the latest version of Nintendont (2.171) using the Nintendont loader. The widescreen option did not work on either. Unless there is something I'm missing in the options of Nintendont, these games are not compatible with widescreen. I did test out other games to make sure this issue isn't on my end. Wind Waker(USA) and Mario Sunshine(USA) worked just fine in widescreen.

Which controller.ini do I need for Classic controllers? Nintendont says that no controller ini is detected.

Turn off HID controllers in the settings

Maybe try a different iso?

just finished the patching cleanup I started the other day:
-made the FIFO patching much more dynamic by actually using the pointer set by the game to find usage instead of hardcoded patterns
-general patching cleanup, especially the debug messages are easier to look through now
-split the triforce patches from the regular game patches since they will never be found in normal games anyways
Especially that new way of finding FIFO differences can help out games which before froze ingame.

Does the triforce patch fix any triforce games? Crediar was able to get mario kart gp 2 working before he implemented triforce support to the official Nintendont code, which broke it
