32 GB SDHC. SDXC cards can theoretically work, but they have be formatted differently.

Speaking of which, I'm using one and I don't know what the hell is going on. As suggested by one of the members here, I should do a compatibility test by using the alpha 0.1 release. I did that and to select games, there are two blank options (meaning I can scroll and select but there's no text). I chose the first one and got a stack dump. I'm pretty sure I'm going to get a stack dump again.

Placement of the iso is in root:/games right?

Or do I need to put another folder into games?

The game directories are something like this SD:/games/<anything>/game.iso. For Nintendont, you have to create a directory in, SD:/apps/Nintendont/boot.dol

The newer versions (revision 15) of it are compatible with more games, I don't know why you were told to use the 0.1 alpha.

root/games/(folder created by DiskEX)

first off make sure your dump of the game is clean and it must be converted with DiskEX. I use CleanRip to dump my gamecube games

Edit: 15 games will be added to the compatibility list later today

Okay, so it can use the same folder structure as Dios Mios? SD: Games/Game ID/game.iso...? ClearnRip always crashes with a "motor stopped" error for me, USB Loader GX's ripper work pretty well too. I notice DiscEX create a sys folder as well, do those need to be copied?

Do I need to keep the sys folder created by DiscEx? So for 1080 Avalanche, it goes SD:/games/GTEE01/game.iso?

This made so much sense until I booted up the game and it sent me back to the Wii U menu lol

I was told to use the Alpha only because I needed to determine whether or not the SD card was compatible.

will it work on wii family edition?

yes

Did you get Zelda to work on the Alpha?

So wait the <anything> part can be like the actual name of the game if you wanted?
I have a bunch of folders named to the proper game id and game.iso inside. I've never really understood this...Id normally go about it by dropping the iso into DiscEx, but manually doing that 635 times lol. I think I read somewhere theres a batch way of doing that, but still never figured that out. Everything is so confusing being named the game id where I would just look it up before I played on my other wii.

yes

Hm that was the alpha version I was doing that on. I don't even know if it's because I pressed something on the wiimote, but it just sent me there.

I'm about to try r15 with that game and different games to see if that makes a difference, all converted with DiscEX

I'm just quoting the set up guide on the Wiki Crediar made for Nintendont. No idea how to batch convert the ISOs to the proper format, but to be safe, I'll copy the folders DiscEX made into the SD card.

Have you tried a different sd?

No, because it's a class 10 SDHC 32..so I didn't think it would be the problem.

However, all of the games boot up with error 1, so I think you're right. Thanks for all your help! I hope this isn't the case, but I'll try to find another one (this one was really expensive and came from my brother's Nikon)

First of all I wanted to say that I very appreciate and thanks those people who work on this project, and helps Others.
I was sure that the project was abandoned, but thanks to the hard work of the People here this great emulator has new light!
i have two Questions to ask.
1.the only two consoles i have are wii family edition and ps2. does this emulator works with wiimote/classic controller or ps2 controller?
(duel shock 2 not 3)
2.what tools i need to get started? (besides controllers).

first off it's not an emulator. Both the wii family edition and wiiU both have gamecube hardware inside them...they just can't play them naturally.

1. I heard it works with dualshock 2, havn't tried but you can alway try it yourself. No support for wiimote yet:(
2. A compatible sd card and a way to get gamecube isos. either the internet or dump them yourself

First: It's not an emulator, considering he is running on real wii hardware, not emulated one. Now the answers.
1 - Not sure but any HID Compilant controller connected in USB should work, so probably ps2 controller will, you just need to configure it correctly.
2 - Controllers, a compatible SD Card and a game you want to run, just put the files on SD card, along with the game, run it in homebrew channel and hope it works.

EDIT: Someone was faster D:
