You should add Xbox 360 controller compability.

That's probably not going to be possible. The 360 controllers is designed to only work on 360 and windows. And it's not recognized as a regular usb controller. Same reason it won't work on the PS3 even though the PS3 will work with most other USB controllers. The only way this would be possible is with an adapter. http://www.xcm.cc/xcm_cross_battle_adapter_plus.htm

But even then it makes it emulate a PS3 controller, which will work now anyways.

360 controllers can work on other things though, and if I'm reading what this does correctly it's reading the sent codes directly rather than using a conventional driver. Looking at the nintendont-controller github the f510 is supported, not sure if that's in xinput or directinput mode. Seems as good a place as any to start Etkar, try that ini edited to the VID and PID of your controller

Not sure if it's said elsewhere in the thread, a lot of pages, but is there a description on how to get the necessary codes to map buttons/make a controller compatible? Obviously the human readable name and the V/P ID are easy to get, but not sure about the others.
check this post : http://gbatemp.net/threads/nintendont-controller-configurations.355035/#post-4782346
He explained how to create the controller.ini based on your own controller's detected values in the HID-test application.

An update on raphnet adapter compatibility.

I mentioned earlier that input was erratic in HIDtestv4, and this holds true for the wind waker. Buttons seem to register multiple inputs, analog shoulder axes are inverted (e.g. crawling with R released, upright with it pressed,) and movement is unpredictable to the point of it being unplayable.

It also doesn't seem to load unless it's receiving input. I kept getting disc read errors until I noticed this and continuously moved the stick around while the game loaded.

This adapter works fine with everything else, maybe it's due to using a wavebird for some reason. I'll see if I can find a wired controller.

This is as far as user missionfloyd got. Would be nice to know if a wired GC controller is more stable on the raphnet adapter to write a proper ".ini", then see if switching it out for a Wavebird would work.
...I guess I'll PM missionfloyd.

this might be a little off topic but it fits the shoe. I have recently been wanting to play gamecube games like paper mario ttyd, and luigis mansion soooo bad. Anyways I was messing around and tried to stick a copy of thug in my wii (family edition) and of course the wii did not accept it, but then I made a "homemade" disc adapter so the disc drive would boot it. the wii recognized the disc and showed on the disc channel that it was a gamecube game. I pressed start and the game booted right up no problems, nothing. the only thing being that i cant play it because theres no gc ports, but there is a spot for them when you take the top off.

Good discovery!

thank you. I am actually getting an older wii that is compatible with gc in a month or so that will be my main wii/gc. I also have an old gamecube with no hookups and broken laser and one controller so i am wanting to try and do something with the two, possibly solder in some ports if i figure it out.

I have a question. If I buy this:

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00E6553PW/ref=ox_sc_sfl_title_2?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=A3BVFOU06EC1JZ

Will I be able to use the Wii U pro controller with nintendont wirelessly? And will the button mapping on it match the button mapping of devolution?
Yes, but games that use the analog L/R will not work properly. Example: In Wind Waker the analog L/R are needed to Crouch/Target, making the game almost impossible to play with the WiiU Pro Controller.

Will it be possible to use one of the usb ports of the wii to connect an external hdd and the other one with the USB controller if not, will a Y cable work for that or I would need to use an SD card?
