It worked only if you had memory card emulation turned on. You just had to say no to creating a save.
Maybe set it to run that code if Melee is ran.

Is there a way to identify which game file is being used. If so, wouldn't it just be a simple fix?Someone said that Melee was working fine for him now.
Edit: Never mind

There is, but I would like more people to confirm the issue, just to make sure it's not isolated. Is there a way to identify which game file is being used. If so, wouldn't it just be a simple fix?

I'll test it later today. There is, but I would like more people to confirm the issue, just to make sure it's not isolated.
If the game id can be detected, then it's a temporary fix for one of the most popular games while the issues can be sorted out.Simple, maybe, if it were only one game. Now try to picture the need of using "if's" and "elses" or "switch cases" to pay attention to every game that needed a special workaround. It would be a mess. Besides, every game is stored as "game.iso" and the parent folder's name is up to the owner to choose, you might use "zelda", "wind waker", the game code, you might add if it's pal or ntsc.. in short, it'd be pretty impossible to do.
The best bet would be to add some kind of "Special Fix: " to the Settings menu, like it's done for the Language, but then again; adding if's and else is too much work and it's an effort that would be better put in checking WHY those workarounds are needed. After that they might decide it's impossible to do without them, or find a way to avoid them and still fix it.

It is easy to identify the game running by its GameID

I've already added an exception for it, but like I said, I want to make sure it's not just one person who is having this issue.Well, that simplifies a lot, and if it's applied to Melee's issue (which I can confirm, I tested it just now) it would surely fix it. But my point was that if you did that everytime a change fixed some and broke others, then it would end up needing conditionals in a lot of places when there might be a proper fix that avoids that.
Of course it's up to the devs to use temporary fixes like that or not, I was just stating my point of view, so I apologize if I sounded rude as that wasn't my intention.

I tried the new r61. I too can't get Melee to run with it after pass Screen Scan Mode. Same goes for Sunshine, it goes to black screen after loading the game up.
I did try to see other games do work with MC Emu. So far, MKouble Dash Works just fine as always, but some ghost saves won't save. Another I tried was Sonic Gems Collection. Of course can't load any game with it due to game trying to save settings and it can't.
I do have few other games, but I didn't test them out yet on r61. I may later on to see what games can or can not work on r61.

Thanks for fixing Melee again. I'm going to check a bunch of green marked games and post if any stopped working.
