now if you open vwii the homebrew channel not launcher the channel nintendont will be there, unless you got some corrupted files somewhere in that case it would be better to delete the folder and make a new one.

Homebrew launcher is for wiiu stuff only and its on the wiiu side of the apps

homebrew channel is for wii apps and its on the wii side

if you are using the homebrew launcher you wont see any wii apps only wiiu ones and nintendont is not a wiiu mode app.
the folder is brand new from when i upgraded to tiramisu. vwii homebrew channel never showed any apps before tiramisu, and it doesn't show them after tiramisu

i can't find instructions on how to delete and reinstall the homebrew channel for vwii. would i ask about that here?

i guess it's not a nintendon't problem since it shows no apps at all

yes, it is fat32 formatted and works for all other wii upurposes. i have been installing games with it for years. i just can't see apps on the vwii homebrew channel

Nintendont and the Homebrew Channel are vWii apps. They cannot be seen in standard Wii U mode.

like i said:

literally everything wiiu side is working fine. the sd card is working fine. nothing is wrong there.

meanwhile, on vwii, when using the homebrew channel from vwii, i cannot see apps such as nintendon't. nintendon't has the boot.dol and is inside the higher up apps folder for vwii items.

i got this wiiu multiple years ago and i have reinstalled homebrew multiple times (using haxchi, cbhc, and now tiramisu). i always reinstall nintendon't as well. nintendon't works. i can launch my gamecube injects from the wiiu's home menu. but i can't see it in the apps on the vwii on the vwii homebrew channel. the vwii homebrew channel has always been empty. the vwii apps never show up.

nintendon't is in root/apps/Nintendont. it has boot.dol, icon.png, meta.xml. this time around, i used UWUVCI AIO to put nintendon't on the SD card. but i have installed it over and over following the official guide before. i have also added many other vwii apps to the sd card in the apps folder on the root of the SD card. i have never gotten any of them to appear.

the sd card is not locked. it is formatted correctly. i know this because i have repeatedly put it in my laptop, added games to it, inserted it into the wiiu, and installed the games through the wiiu side.

however, the vwii side has no apps.

after making my initial post in here i tried some other vwii apps and realized they don't show up either. and i already fixed my other problem with nintendon't (i couldn't use my gc injects, but now i can), so now the only problem is that i can't see nintendon't or other apps in vwii homebrew channel. i will try to find the vwii homebrew channel thread.

Can you right click on boot.dol and make sure it says boot.dol and not boot.dol.dol? Do you have FIle extensions shown or hidden?

What is your SD card Named?

- the SD card is called Vaporeon. it opens up on D: on my laptop

- yeah it's definitely just boot.dol. i do have file extensions showing

i tried to print my directory tree into powershell, but when i copy/paste it into a pastebin, it gets really messed up. but i included a screenshot of the relevant bit of the tree.

to use vwii homebrew channel you need to actually hack vwii, you cant hack vwii with cbhc/aroma/tiramisu those are all wiiu side cfw stuff, you need to actually go and hack vwii, im guessing you are just running injects on wiiu mode and your vwii is unhacked.

@Dirkat :

:O what is this SD card?

I think so too .

yes, the vwii mode must be hacker to read the applications

oooh, i see. i'll look into hacking vwii separately

also haha, it's just a normal micro SD card; the SanDisk Ultra 128 GB (used via a micro sd to sd converter, which i don't think matters). it's renamed to Vaporeon. i assume ccfman asked the name in case it was named something that could make it not work (ex. i have read that it breaks things if you name it "wiiu")

Follow this guide to hack your vWii.

Thanks guys. I went and reinstalled the Homebrew Channel via Wuphax, but the launcher in Vwii is still not showing apps. I am still investigating the problem.

UPDATE: I reformatted the SD card and that worked! I don't know why, because it was already formatted correctly, but it fixed it.

How do you exit Nintendont if the Wiimote loses its sync with the Wii U console? I've tried powering down both the gamepad and console, but the console won't shut itself off unless I pull the plug.

Also, is there any way to convert CISO files to make them compatible with TeconMoon for VC Injection?
