Grand Theft Auto VI: An Extended Look - now on YouTube

The long awaited Grand Theft Auto VI Extended Look gameplay trailer has finally dropped on YouTube. As you all know, it had dropped 6 hours earlier on Netflix, and was obviously ripped and reposted on YouTube by dozens of accounts, but we've chosen to embed the official Rockstar account video below instead.

Have you watched the video? What do you think? Pretty impressive graphics for a base PS5 game, isn't it?

I don't recall of any instance where the scene outright untangled the Denuvo fully from the game binary in that period of time.

I honestly know of only a single instance where a full removal was even done by the scene and that was Assassin's Creed Origins and that took a long time. Amount of work and knowledge required to do something like that is quite frankly insane. I don't see how it could be done in the same week at all.
Post automatically merged:

Tbh, outside all the shiny graphics, I don't really see how is this game all that different from 5 or even 4, outside changes to the wanted system (which is very welcome). Been my major issue with Rockstar for a long time. I personally find their efforts 'misguided'.
you may not remember but it has happened with recent titles, one of them being 007 first light if if i'm not mistaken, just look for it

My memory may be murky, but I am quite sure it was the developers that removed Denuvo, recently after Voices38 cracked the game. He didn't remove it himself, I believe. Maybe you mixed it up with that?

mmm idk, i have looked up again and denuvo was removed (for 007) by Voices38 13 days after launch, and the for the new lego batman game he released the cracked version the same day of launch, of course it is the exception, but has happened, i give it 1 month max for him to crack it

driving scenes looked a bit uncanny valley to me, weird motion blur, rest looked good.

shame about no disc and rockstar firing their developers for unionizing

For First Light, it was an ordinary crack and shortly after, developers removed it officially afaik.

As for Lego Batman, there was a pretty substantial 'early access' for those who preordered the game (2 weeks, I thiiiiiiiink), so Voices had access to files before 'release'. Enough time for the crack to come day 1 of it. It was quite hilarious, I must admit.

He is insanely fast at what he does, his skills are remarkable. But outright decoupling the game's binary from that cancer is type of work that would take months, if not years of constant work. It is just that difficult.

GTA: Double Dash!!
honestly tho, about on par of what i expected from Rockstar and GTA VI to look, feel and play like after all this time and the work they've put in it and polishing what would be a great GTA game that everyone was waiting for. hate on them all you want (regarding other R matters) but im yet to witness a bad GTA or even RDR game.
Has anyone really been far even as decided to use even go want to do look more like?
idk, maybe if it was just like for instance nowadays?

yeah he is, i dont even have a gaming pc but i celebrated every time he cracked those games, he may not remove denuvo completly but still cracking allows piracy, and that is going to happen to GTA6 sooner than later, specially considering how much the community is going to ask for it and how much voices is going to consider that as a challenge

Well, as I said, outright removal is insane amount of work. Besides that, outside SEGA, every publisher removes it after some period of time. Square Enix.....few months, Bamco after like a year. Even EA stopped using it as of late.

Capcom takes for AAA around 2 years after last update and SEGA just NEVER removes it, unfortunately.

GTA 6 being cracked once it comes to PC is pretty much a certainty. No doubt about that. Only question how long it will take. Personally.......I am pretty disillusion from Rockstar and games they make, so I am not all that interested in their work. Their games are just shallow sandboxes from gameplay perspective for more than a decade. Quite disappointed in their efforts.

Don't buy Grand Theft Auto VI period! Let company to crash for good reason. Many people are angry about digital only for this game Grand Theft Auto VI. No physical game for everyone. RIP digital games.

Why are you always on about complete nonsense and conspiracy theories? An approximate 4.6 million people have preordered this digital only game. Stop believing the mainstream media telling you there's some massive Sony and digital game boycott.

Red Dead 2 does have a very well made narrative, story and characters, but as a game, it left a lot to be desired, I agree. Playing it in first person was an interesting experience however.

("The total development and marketing budget for Grand Theft Auto VI is widely estimated to be between $1 billion and $2 billion, making it potentially the most expensive entertainment project ever created.")
So crazy. Can you imagine what a dev in the 2000's would do with that money? It reminds me of Phantasmagoria's budget being around $5 million USD, but the game was a commercial success. That gamble paid off.

I think I said it in another topic, but the whole "game as an experience" mindset means that the spectacle is more important than the gameplay/design. I'd like to eat my own words and see GTAVI be a genuinely fun and unqiue experience, but I'm not sure what to expect from over a decade of dev time and over a billion dollars in cost.

The last time I looked forward to a game that had spent a decade in development h**l, I got Duke Nukem Forever.

Not to mention that we had the whole GTA clone onslaught about twenty years ago (From The Getaway and True Crime to Sleeping Dogs and Watch Dogs), so it'd be hard to iterate on the formula without relying on mini-games and gimmicks. ("Nekooo, it's your cousin! Let's go bowling!")

TL;DR: I still miss GTA3's spot-on contemporary commentary and ambitious, fun design.

Preorder gives you a free month of GTA+, and lets you preload the game a week early, so you are ready to game at midnight Nov. 18, and not worry about server/download overloads day of release.
That’s a fucking disgusting practice, ngl.

I agree, I have never preordered any digital game before in my life, but i admit they suckered me into it this time. I like the fact I can preload it on my xbox ahead of time, and not have to wait for it to download the day of release, esp since its gonna be a huge file size probably. I also bet downloads of the game on release day are gonna struggle because millions will be downloading it, that day.
I was definitely gonna buy it any ways, so oh well, only a few months ahead of the release day.
