By "manage" real memory cards I interpreted it to say that the BIOS cannot use real memory cards in game (i.e. save and load), which, I don't know if universally for all games, but is exactly what happens with JP Wind Waker on my PAL Wii. When using the BIOS, the game reports the Memory Card data is corrupted and asks if I want to reformat it. When not using the BIOS, the game reads the saves from the real memory card just fine.

So while I love the animation when it does not cause harm, I'd rather sacrifice it when it does (and only when it does).

P.S.: I run WW forced to NTSC, so that "force progressive" works, so with the later set to On too, and forced to widescreen. I mention it in case it makes any difference.
Is there a particular reason for using the Japanese version of the game?

I only asked because it could very well be the reason since Japanese saves are not compatible with NTSC-U and PAL formatted memory cards so it could very well be an issue. What Bios files do you have on the root of the device?

The memory card only contains one save, JP Wind Waker, and was formatted from within the game having booted it with Nintendont but no GC BIOS.

In the root of the HDD I now have all 3 BIOS: ipljap.bin, iplpal.bin, iplusa.bin plus segaboot.bin.

ppl were asking for the boot animation for nostalgic reasons and now you said to remove it?
Managing real memory cards is a separate subject and you can manage them from the Wii menu; not with nintendont anyway.

While I haven't tried it out, apparently there is a mod of Nintendont that plays the BIOS animation while Nintendont loads so it doesn't require the actual BIOS at all. It seems to be updated whenever there is an update to Nintendont so it might be something that would work for you. Check out the quoted forum post below for more info if interested.

Mr. Mysterio has created a Nintendont mod that plays the BIOS animation on a separate thread while the game is booting. Here is the r331 DOL and the source.
Special thanks to send0r for keeping this updated to the latest Nintendont version.

Never heard of issue with nintendont like that.
To remove it, you can simply rename those bios files or you can use a mod version.

There should be an option to turn it off when using Real Memory Cards as there are issues when using the BIOS with Real Memory Cards unless someone can fix the issues.

Nintendont is now on GIT. Anyone can add a fork of the mod version and/or add an extra option for that and see if FIX is interested to merge them.
But mind you, I think Nintendont has already fill up all 16 bits for the options, adding an extra option would mean a major change to the config codes and will break loaders support. Good luck if loaders kept updating with that.

Hello, I'm a totally new member, but I have an urgent problem...So I bought a pre-owned basic 8GB Wii U months ago, and it worked fine. The Wii Mode never worked though so I was confused about that. Then, when the 5.4 software update came out, I tried updating, but I kept getting an error so I stayed on 5.32. I figured out that the previous owner must have hacked the Wii U and that's why Wii Mode didn't work, and the update wouldn't go through. So recently, I decided I would get a deluxe black Wii U, and transfer everything from my old one to the new one. I realized then the system transfer would only work if both systems were up to date and obviously my old one isn't. The problem is I already sold my old Wii U and am planning on shipping it out tomorrow (Saturday), which is the same day I will be getting my new deluxe one. I was planning on transferring everything over and then shipping, but now I can't do that without updating, and I can't update! So is there any way to delete whatever Homebrew/hack/mod was on my old Wii U without deleting any of my game save data and stuff? Or is there any way I can bypass the hack, and get it to update to the latest firmware? By the way, I'm not an experienced hacked or modded at all, so yea...I would REALLY appreciate help, as I need this to be resolved by tomorrow afternoon! If you have any solutions or ideas, please reply! Thanks.

Wrong place, but, I think I know the problem here, when you brick the vWii, you can't update.
He probably installed a wrong IOS or cIOS.

No if you cant even enter vwii then vwii mode is bricked and wont allow update if bad cios was installed, and no you cant do system transfer if your consoles are on the latest fws both of them wich means 5.5.1 both of them so yeah there is no fix for people that cant even acess vwii to fix the bad cios as off yet.

Anybody here got Defender For All Humanity? I never played this game before but a couple of days ago I downloaded it and noticed that in order to get the ship to move you have to press the R trigger very gently like halfway, if you do a full press it will not work and the ship will stand still, is this normal or could this be a bug in Nintendont or the iso I'm using? I'm using a regular GC controller btw and it's the same controller I always use for gaming, I tested it with other games and the R trigger still works fine, nly this game has this weird behavior.

THIS!! A million times, this!

As for the Zelda hack, I don't know shit about Zelda games so... can anybody explain to me what's happening here? How did Zelda turn into Wario Land 3 (a great game btw, played it a couple of years ago, totally worth it) and what has this hack to do with Nintendont? O.o

It looks like he's using a vulnerability in the game to boot up Game Boy Interface. It has nothing to do with Nintendont other than it's work he's done.
