You're looking at the dolphin compatibility. Dolphin is an emulator and has no bearing on the same compatibility standards as nintendont since nintendont is not emulating.

Try looking at the wiki.gbatemp list for nintendont; http://wiki.gbatemp.net/wiki/Nintendont_Compatibility_List
The same issue occurs in Nintendont, I was thinking if this could be useful to figure out why it happens in Nintendont.

There is something worth noting:
If you want to import your whole (real) memory card and use only one virtual memory card for (mostly) all GC games, you can do so by placing your memory card .raw dump in the USB1:/saves folder and rename it to "ninmem.raw". You should then select the according memory card size in your Nintendont settings before launching your first game.

Could be worth noting that Sonic Riders is a pretty poorly made game, rife with bugs on every platform it was published on. It could just be a game bug, rather than an application bug, it seems irregular it happens in the same place in both dolphin and in Nintendont.

It probably wasn't written with an emulator or Nintendont compatibility in mind either.

Those flash drives haven't arrived yet. I think it's a safe assumption that they were lost in the mail. Can someone give me a model number of one that doesn't work and I'll just order it myself from Amazon? And I don't mean a product name (like Sandisk Cruzer), I need the real model number.

I'm not sure I care enough to put myself through the torture of that game to find a bug anyway.

OK.. Looks like I'm doing something wrong. I've ustealthed my drive and can load Wii games. But nintendont can't see the games and UsbLoaderGX causes nintendont to segfault out for me. All I did was use the same HDD and SD in my WiiU. Ideas?

Looks like it's just the order of HDD ports... Hmmm

Agreed, that game sucked pretty bad, along with most sonic games IMO, there are still a few gems for every console generation but they're few and far between. God the atrocity which is Sonic Boom makes me sick, at least once you get a handle of the controls in sonic lost world, it's much better but still not quite there yet. still waiting on a good sonic game for this generation like sonic colors was for the last.

I disagree, what you're saying is basically every game is badly made because at some point they didn't work with nintendont or dolphin, devolution had it working since the start iirc, the issue was never reported.
For the record I've had this game since its release on the GC and I never encountered any bugs. Plus I possess one of the laziest PS2 ports for the Cube out there filled with all kinds of irregularities, and it works fine in nintendont.

As for whether it's worthy of fixing or not, maybe it isn't but I like to believe a significant amount of games are affected by the same issue. In this case it's possibly that Star Fox game.

Hello, I've been trying to play some GC games on my Wii but to no avail, Nintendont gets stuck:

Loading patched kernel... 2
ES_Init... Done!
Init USB/SD device...

And that's it. Everything seems to be alright, Nintendont has the latest version, USB and SD have been formatted to FAT32 with 32kb cluster size and both have their partitions set to primary.

Try the other USB port.

if your HDD is non powered then you might have the same issue i did, before you launch Nintendont undo and replug your HDD into your wii wait 2 secs then launch nintendont.
i have to do this EVERYTIME with nintendont.

What are the PID and VID on your controller?
without a controller.ini file HID test shows the PID as 0268 and ViD 054C

Having an issue. Settings in Nintendont are not remaining as I have left them. I can go in, toggle a setting (like Autoboot), run a game, and then from there shut down the console or otherwise exit the game and my settings either become completely reverted or partially reverted. No error messages of any kind are given during the ROM patching/kernel boot. Any ideas?

*bump*
