Is there any way to connect the acekard's internet update thing to my NWUSB without modding the USB?

My router doesn't support DS.

Pretty much all wireless routers will support the DS. Wether or not it works with the DS is down to the routers configuration.

All you normally need to do is drop back to WEP encryption. You could always use a neighbours router if they have one broadcasting using WEP, if you were inclinded that way.

It is WEP though. and it's on channel 11 too. i've tried ch 1 as well.

Go into the router's wireless security and write down the first key. Also make sure that your router is on b mode, b/g mode or mixed mode since that is the only mode that the DS can do. Check if your router is transmitting its name (turn on SSID). Launch any Wifi game and update your settings.
