I am interested in the usb cable method. I saw that Hekate has the no more sd card removal. Is there a tutorial or steps? Thank you.

you need a nsw app and the corresponding pc-application:
1. goldleaf and ns-usbloader
the ns-uplaoder also works in tinfoil mode with Awoo Installer, (and probably Tinfoil :P )
2. lithium works with NUT, which supposedly is also using the Tinfoil protocol

that's the 2 i know,
i prefer to use goldleaf, but that has no xci support, unlike Lithium

  • If you're installing games, use TinWoo (or Awoo Installer) and ns-usbloader
  • If you are wanting to add files/folders to the SD card, use Hekate while the system is plugged into your computer and mount the SD card to USB.
  • If you are wanting to add files/folders to the SD card that aren't Atmosphere related, and you don't care about USB, you can use ftpd on the Switch and something like FileZilla on your computer to move files over an FTP connection.

I am currently installing NSP files using Goldleaf, Quark and Zadig via a usb connection.

I will look into using Hekate to mount the SD card to USB for copying files and folders.

for an all-around solution i have to mention DBL
its USB feature is -awesome-
it creates separate objects in the windows explorer for installed games on sd & on internal memory, plain sd card access, cart and nsp dumping, access to album pictures (presorted by game)

like nearly everything one could dream of :)

i personally have not tested the dumping or installing capabilities,
it's like a swiss army knife and does not need a pc application, but i suspect, it only works with windows

Thank you for your suggestion. I will research DBL.

I was able to use the Hekate USB SD card mounting method and it worked great.

Hekate -> Tools -> USB Tools -> SD Card

Thank you for everybodys' help.
