Hey hey, it's time for the first stability update of the year. The Nintendo Switch has just received a firmware update, which brings the console to FW version 9.2.0. Per usual, this is a minor update that officially only offers the typical system stability improvements, with SciresM mentioning that the changes in this firmware are "completely trivial", with a compatible Atmosphere update due later tonight.

Nintendo never disappoint with their stable updates. :switch:

Retro Studios is developing the game, not Nintendo.

    Retro studios is Nintendo.
In a partnership Nintendo provides money, feedback and deadlines. That's not news. It was the same with the original Prime, with a lot of feedback from Nintendo's Miyamoto shaping the game.
You could say the same about any Nintendo game, rarely they are lone ventures, most of the time many first party studios partner and cooperate.

Nintendo's featureless updates are literally the reason why I started hacking my Nintendo products.

I will half agree with you on this. Retro Studios is a subsidiary of Nintendo.

I thought retro wasn't developing metroid prime 4, that it was some other company.

At first Retro was not involved. But the game that was being made by whatever other developer was so awful that Nintendo started over with Retro.
