Nintendo Switch firmware update 12.0.0 available for download

A new update has been detected! Nintendo has just put out a system software update for the Nintendo Switch, which brings the console up to official firmware version 12.0.0. This time around, we have an actual reason as to what this update entails: a “rare” save backup error had been resolved. The changelog mentions nothing else, despite it being an update from 11.0.1 to 12.0.0. If you haven’t already learned by now, don’t update your hacked systems until you have the all-clear from established scene hackers.

Ver. 12.0.0 (Released April 5, 2021)
We fixed the issue with the save data backup feature, where in rare cases, the automatic backup of save data is interrupted if a communication error occurs during completion of the save data backup process.

I'm trying to find the update on Google as well (actually on Duck Duck Go, but whatever), but I haven't been able to find it anywhere yet. the AIO Switch Updater doesn't have it yet either. I find that slightly odd. It has been several days and it would seem like no one has shared the update on the internet. Granted, I'm probably not looking hard enough for it, but it's weird anyway.

The is always the case with Switch updates, always takes a week or so for it to appear on darthstemies firmware page. I wait as well as I am banned by Nintendo. It will be there eventually. I have already updated atmospher to 0.19.1 and installed latest patches and I am ready to go. Immortal phoenix released an update today that required 12.0.0. They are moving quick. The firmware update file will be available anytime.

I updated to 12.0 and AMS 19.1. First copied the ofw files and the 19.1 ATM files to SDcard. When started ChoiDujourNX 1.02 I got error and have to restart the Switch. So I decide to copy AMS 18.1, do the FW upgrade in ChoiDujourNX, and after that copy the new 19.1 Atmosphere files with proper sigpatches. Just to add, Goldleaf 0.9 works.

Thx that worked for me. Had the same problem with that error. Hope it will be fixed soon

Daybreak is the program to use for updating now, working on hos 12.0.0 Ams 0.19.1

    @TwoSpikedHands, I'll preface this with the fact that I know nothing about the game, but, I think it depends on what your goals are. Are you trying to make a definitive version of the game? You may want to refocus your efforts on the EU version then. Or, are you trying to make a better US version? In which case, the only way to make a better US version is to keep on plugging away at that one ;)

I would like to eventually have the ability to add more characters, enemies, even have a completely different story if i wanted. I already have the ability to change the tilemaps in the US version, so I can basically make my own map and warp to it in game - so I'm pretty far into it!
