are people getting banned for only using CFW for homebrew?

Yes. You'll be banned for anything except, POSSIBLY, playing .XCI games offline.
Unless you make a NAND backup before doing anything wrong and restore it before connecting to internet.
Alternatively, like the last two pages could have answered this. It's a thead on banning, and you're worried about a ban

I'm not asking if there's a possibility of ban, but if there are cases of people that, just like me, only used it for emulation. I've searched on both threads and couldn't find anyone who as banned for this but didn't try running backups or download something from nintendo servers before or after using homebrew. It's not clear and tbh, not even the spreadsheet on the ban thread is clear enough about this information.
- No
- You can use a custom DNS server that will redirect certain URLs such as 90DNS, ReSwitched's DNS Server, and SwitchBrew's DNS Server
- The best way to avoid a ban for now is making a clean NAND backup before hacking and restoring it prior to going online. If you had not made one already and the console is hacked, you COULD use ChoiDujourNX to install firmware update files that may clean the NAND a bit but we're unsure if it makes entirely clean NANDs like a clean NAND backup.

EmuNAND is a second NAND allowing you to dual-boot on the Nintendo Switch. One of its purposes is to preserve a lower firmware while simultaneously being able to boot a higher firmware. Another use is shoving all of your hacking onto one NAND that stays offline and doing legitimate stuff on the other in an effort to avoid getting banned. Lastly, it can be used to prevent your SysNAND from getting bricked by letting EmuNAND get bricked instead. Thanks for all your reply! My last qustion is, what is a emunand and how to use. Jeez, they are being pretty tight on this.If you've entered CFW, Nintendo can seemingly detect it without a clean nand and issue a ban. You're not wrong, a lot who have been careful and only uses homebrew haven't received bans yet, but definitely don't plan on that to save you. Any time you go online, if you've used CFW, reload your backup nand first. The big N ain't playing, and they're probably waiting for enough to get comfortable loading homebrew to ban wave them all as well in one go. Until emunand, backups are the only way to keep online services that I've seen 100% work

I'm wondering what happens when somebody gets a second hand banned Switch (from eBay...) and contacts Nintys support...
1 person got banned but they got a crash on a emulator and cleared log on 5.x. So, in theory, no.are people getting banned for only using CFW for homebrew?

pm+creport aren't disabling everything. So maybe yes maybe not, because you don't play them online.quick question: i saw some stuff earlier about using patches to creport + pm to disable telemetry. If i used those on ReiNX, would i be safe to install backups of my games as .NSP files (not playing them online or updating) without getting banned? Also, would I be able to play online with other games (specifically ones on a cart) safely?

Being superbanned means you're barred from all of Nintendo's online services so you must try one of the following:If I was banned would I receive any message "as soon" as I turned internet on or would I need to use online services to find out via an error code? Ty
