Nintendo Points to be Useless on 3DS

Those who have any left over Nintendo Points from their Wii and DSi systems maybe be disappointed to hear that they won't work with the 3DS. This is due to a change in the way the currency system works on the on the system.

Before, Nintendo used a virtual currency system that used points. The new change involves scrapping this previous method and now it will simply use regular currency, just like Sony's similar system on the Playstation Network.

The confirmation comes from Nintendo's official Japanese website, where Nintendo recently updated it with information about the 3DS' eStore. After a translation of the page, it reveals that Nintendo Points can't be used on the 3DS eStore and prepaid cards will come at a later date[/p]

Don't particularly care.

If anything, I prefer that it's using this new currency method. Buying 2000 points so that I can buy a 1200 game is a load of money-grabbing bullshit.
